Around the world, there is insufficient data on mental health. Without better data we cannot hope to correctly design and deliver mental health prevention, promotion and treatment programmes.

Specific measures to address the lack of data should include: regular collection and use of mental health data at national, subnational and facility level; more complete reporting by governments to international organisations like the WHO and UNICEF; the adoption of validated mental health modules in household surveys, school surveys and health information systems; the strengthening of vital registration systems to obtain more accurate data on su***de; and the inclusion of mental health indicators in broader monitoring efforts at global and national levels

For many young people living with HIV in intimate relationships, the big issue is disclosure. How and when do you tell? There is no one easy or perfect way to tell someone you are living with HIV.

Disclosing your HIV status can put a strain on the best of relationships. It is important for you to think about when and how to disclose it. However, keeping the information to yourself for too long is probably not a good idea. If you find it difficult to decide when and how to tell your partner, it may be helpful to get some professional counseling.

We cannot end AIDS without addressing the needs of children and adolescents. Their ability to start free and stay free of HIV is the cornerstone of ending AIDS by 2030. Preventing vertical transmission, blocking pathways to HIV infection, increasing access to optimal treatment, and suppressing the viral load of children and adolescents living with HIV is critical for stopping this epidemic in its tracks. Without this, HIV will persist indefinitely
