I had the opportunity to speak on the Praise Foundation team platform yesterday on Passion and Purpose.

Passion and purpose go hand in hand, like the perfect duo that ignites the flames of motivation and fulfillment in our lives. Having passion is like having an unquenchable thirst for something that drives us, fuels our enthusiasm, and brings us immense joy.

It's that internal fire that pushes us to take risks, explore our interests, and push beyond our comfort zones. Passion fuels our Purpose, encouraging us to look for innovative solutions and inspiring us to reach for our dreams even when the path seems uncertain.

On the other hand, purpose provides us with a sense of direction and meaning. It's like a compass that guides us towards our true calling, helping us understand why we are here and what we want to achieve in life. Purpose gives us a bigger picture, connecting our actions to something greater than ourselves. It fuels our determination, giving us a reason to persevere through challenges and adversity.

When passion and purpose intersect, magic happens. It's when we pursue our passions with a clear sense of purpose that we find true fulfillment and make a meaningful impact on the world around us. Passion without purpose can be like a flame without direction, flickering away without creating a lasting impact.

On the other hand, purpose without passion can feel like a chore, draining our energy and leaving us unfulfilled. So, it's essential to cultivate both passion and purpose in our lives.

Nurture your passions, explore different interests, and allow yourself to fully immerse in activities that spark joy within you. Take the time to reflect on your values, strengths, and what truly matters to you.

Identify your purpose, your unique contribution to the world, and set meaningful goals aligned with your passion.

Remember, life is too short to settle for anything less than a life filled with passion and purpose. Embrace both, and watch as your life takes on a whole new level of fulfillment and happiness.

Many thanks to Amon Tangwena Purpose Chaser for the opportunity to speak at his inaugural B430 event on Saturday 11 November! πŸ”₯

The Ancient Hebrew wisdom shows us that 30 years was the year of public ministry.

For Example:

1. Jesus began his ministry at age 30, but what was He doing Before 30?
2. Joseph was 30 years old when he entered the service of Pharaoh (Genesis 41:46), but what was he doing Before 30?
3. David was king first at Hebron at 30 (2 Samuel 2:1-7).
4. Ezekiel the Prophet began prophesying at 30 (Ezekiel 1:1-3).
5. Rabbi's could have their own disciples at 30.
6. John the Baptist began his ministry at 30.
7. Paul conversation was at 30 years, marking also his apostolic ministry.

Putting your house in order before the age of 30 may at times be a challenge, very few succeed. However, it is important to organize your life before your 30th birthday.

Today is World Homeless Day and I am incredibly honored to have the opportunity to speak at the World Homeless Day Conference hosted by today.

My focus will be on the pressing issue of Youth and Homelessness. Through my work with young people, I have come across individuals from diverse backgrounds and it is truly shocking to discover that there many youth who face homelessness and there are numerous reasons why they experience it.

Factors such as dysfunctional family situations, being born and raised on the streets, drug and substance abuse, peer pressure, poverty, and much more contribute to this unfortunate reality.

During my speech, I will delve into why youth homelessness exists, its consequences, and most importantly, how we can collectively address this problem and foster a stronger community.

Looking forward to it! πŸŒŽπŸ™πŸΎ

Speaking to 1600+ First-Year Students: The Life Lessons I Gave at the Chinhoyi University of Technology Orientation!

Wow, imagine speaking to a room full of 1600 fresh-faced Uni students. That was my reality last week when I had the privilege of being a guest speaker at the Chinhoyi University of Technology Orientation and Induction for first-year students. Pretty awesome, right?

My key message to the students was that it's never too soon to start prepping for your future. I nudged them to not just cozily slide into their comfort zone thinking they have oodles of time, but rather take the bull by the horns right from the get-go.

I encouraged them to start building networks, go out and interact with companies, businesses and organizations who would become useful contacts when searching for internships and attachment opportunities.

Just because you're in your 1st year doesn't mean you should put your career planning on hold until 4th year!

I emphasized the importance of going beyond classroom learning. Volunteer, gather life experiences, use LinkedIn to create a thriving online professional identity.

All these help in shaping up their future prospects.

My last pearls of wisdom- Be ready to fail sometimes, but remember to learn from that failure. Bounce back, dust off, and move forward.

I also pressed on the need to maintain a healthy mind while they're at Uni because after all, mental health is just as important as physical health.

Finally, I had a conversation with them about different types of sexual misconduct like harassment, abuse, and assault. I strongly urged them to avoid such actions, as they not only ruin reputations and careers, but they can also result in legal consequences like imprisonment. I also shared reporting mechanisms for those who might experience sexual misconduct in some way.

Inspiring 1600 students was definitely a highlight for me. Here's hoping these tidbits of advice resonate with them throughout their Uni journey and beyond. Can't wait for my next speaking opportunity!

Happy Tuesday! Are you intentionally choosing yourself? 🌻

Last Sunday, I led a really engaging discussion on the DEAR Yuppie WhatsApp group about pushing through life's tough encounters and challenges. πŸ’ͺ

Tough times don't last, tough people do. And we all need to know that going through tough experiences is a part of life.

However, you have to be intentional about getting through those tough times and intentional about your healing. You have to be intentional about becoming better.

Change or transformation doesn't happen overnight but with consistency, dedication and hard work to a healing and/or self-improvement plan.

Make your growth a priority and you will see amazing results with time. πŸ‘ŒπŸ½ Hang in there. ❀️
