Tongai Matashu is a member of St Peters Guild who has served in various posts in the Diocese of Central Zimbabwe. He joined the guild on the 24th of November 2004 at St Phillips Anglican Church Mkoba Gweru, after two years of following and walking with Wabvuwi.
He has worked eversince to revive the guild in the diocese of Central Zimbabwe. He revived the guild at St Martins Mission Parish Kwekwe where over 17 Guild members were admitted at once. Tongai worked as District Chairperson for two years and worked as Guild Diocesan Secretary for two years, representing the Guild in the National Council and the diocesan Standing Committee. He served as Chairman and continued to revive districts such as Silobela, Zhombe and Kadoma. Tongai also moved around encouraging members to meet on saturdays in the afternoon for prayers and bible teachings, as the guild's culture.
Tongai later joined Harare Diocese in 2017 and is currently at All Saints Anglican Church in Marondera.
