Hwedza RDC Junior Councillors Induction second session ceremony was held on 12 July 2024 in the Council Boardroom. Panashe Feruka was selected as the jnr Council Chairperson while Tichinashe Wachenuka was the jnr Vice Chairperson.The following were elected jnr Committee Chairpersons - Alicia Murwira Finance committee, Kupakwashe Musimbe HR and Admin committee, Alpha Mandiwa Environment and Social Services committee, Tanyaradzwa Munozogara Audit committee and Bestone Nhokwara Civil works and Planning committee.
Junior Councillors platform aims at empowering young people in development initiatives that affect them within their communities.

_*Mashonaland East Province Council Chairpersons dedicated to serve the Nation with integrity*_

Council Chairpersons in Mashonaland East Province signed an integrity pledge as part of an ongoing effort to combat corruption and promote good governance in local authorities focusing on the President's devolution agenda.

The pledge was organized by ZACC and Office of the President and Cabinet (Minister of State) & was signed at a ceremony held in the provincial capital at Marondera Municipality Mayor's Chambers. All Council Chairpersons from the districts of Mutoko, Mudzi, Uzumba Maramba Pfungwe, Marondera, Wedza, Hwedza, and Goromonzi attended the event and publicly committed to upholding principles of transparency, accountability, and ethical conduct in the administration of their councils.

Amongst the Council Chairpersons was the Wedza Council Chairperson , a dedicated and patriotic Lady Mrs Mugabe for Wedza Rural District Council.

Speaking after her pledge, Mrs Mugabe said "Corruption and abuse of office have eroded confidence in some of our councils. This pledge represents a renewal of our collective commitment

Various stakeholders participated at the Clean-UP in Hwedza growth point ward 15 on the 5th of April 2024. The guest of Honour was the Provincial Minister Honorable A.Munzverengi. The guest of honor reiterated the need to keep the environment clean and thanked the participants for undertaking the crucial Presidential call to observe national clean-up's.
