The language commonly spoke is Chiyao. Our traditional food is Nsima and can be made with various dishes like fish, beans, and vegetables.

Greetings Africa, my name is Larisha Evance. I am of the Luo culture. Luo people are found around the lake Victoria basin in Kenya and Tanzania, and Dholuo is our native language. The luo are commonly referred to as the "lakeside people "thus fish is their traditional food served with millet ugali.The Luo believed that the dead joined the spirit world, where they still have influence on living relatives.
