The thanksgiving Mass for Sr. Shelja who served in the parish and school of Saint Joseph, Abu Dhabi, was the occasion for Bp Paolo Martinelli to stress that "consecrated life is in a special way a prophetic form of Christian life, a living explanation of the word of God. More than by scholars, the word of God is explained by those who welcome and live it. We therefore thank Sr Shelja for her presence among us in these years together with the community of Carmelite sisters as a prophetic sign of her religious consecration and offering to the faithful her service and witness to the Word of God. Ghala, Muscat - Holy Spirit Parish : Laying of the foundation stone of a new building at the service of the parish by Bp Paolo Martinelli OFM Cap., in presence of Dr. Ahmed Khamis Masood Al Bahri, director in Oman's Ministry of Religious Endowments and Religious Affairs. The building will be the pastoral center for Christian formation initiatives, for catechism and for the residence of the priests. A fun-filled day packed with sporting activities, a talent hunt, food and entertainment.

Bp Paolo Martinelli, OFM Cap., was installed as Apostolic Vicar of Southern Arabia on 2nd July 2022. He celebrated the 2nd anniversary of his installation in St Joseph's Cathedral Parish, Abu Dhabi, in presence of more than 300 children from the Summer Camp.
