Let us give thanks to the Lord for he is good. Today marks the second anniversary of my priestly ordination. I sing the wonders of God in my life. On June 4th The Reverend Brendon Bedford, The Reverend Carol McCurdy and I were called to serve Christ Holy catholic Church under the guidance of our Bishop The Right Reverend Todd Townshend Bishop’s of Huron.

Here are the activities that will take place in the Deanery of Essex in the next couple week. All are welcome. A good way to come together and offer fraternal and community support and fellowship.

2. St. Mary's Book Sale from 9 am to 2 pm at St. Mary's Anglican Church, Walkerville, Windsor 1983 St.Mary Gate across from Art in the Park.

This week, Anglican Alliance Executive Director, Rachel Carnegie, joined a gathering at Christian Aid to meet the General Secretary of the World Council of Churches, Rev. Prof. Dr Jerry Pillay.

Exploring the image of Jesus calming the storm, Dr Pillay shared his vision for ecumenism and wider collaboration in facing together the multiple crises in our world.

Christian Aid and the Anglican Alliance launched a strategic partnership earlier this year, and as Christian Aid Week begins this Sunday in the UK, we invite you to join us as we come together in prayer and support.

Jerusalem & Holy Land Sunday: May 12, 2024 - The Anglican Church of Canada Jerusalem Sunday is an opportunity for Anglicans in Canada to learn more about and support God’s mission in the Diocese of Jerusalem.

The Scriptures are filled with stories of people who have been called to move to new places: Abraham and Sarah, Mary and Joseph, Paul and Barnabas, Priscilla and Aquilla.

Filled with uncertainty about what lay ahead, these people of God could not have found their moves easy.

Yet they were also filled with excitement, trusting that God was calling them and guiding them to a new place.

And now you, our beloved friend, Jane is preparing to leave us and go to a new place, a new home, and a new church, to a new Province to be with her family.

As a part of this body of Christ over the past years, you have given of yourselves in ways that we have appreciated and will miss.

We will miss you!

We ask God’s blessing upon you as we lift our hearts in prayer.

On Saturday, May 11, 2024, join our Mother's Day Celebration at St. Matthew's Anglican Church, for a festive dinner, with nothing less than fresh Maritime Lobster!
Come with family and friends, the more, the merrier! Tickets are currently on sale. $65 per person. For those who would prefer something different, there will be Roasted Chicken and Ribs, as an option. When booking and purchasing your tickets, please specify your choice. Passion Sunday - Palm Sunday -

Thank you all for your great participation in our celebration this morning. Thank you to the Choir, to the Members of the Chancel Guild for your dedication, and to all of you who shared in the creation of the sixth and last Soup Luncheon. Donations collected from our Soup Luncheons during Lent will be sent to support the Primate's World Relief Development Fund (PWRDF), which responds to natural disasters and conflicts, with humanitarian relief to support affected families and communities. We invite you to join us for all our other Holy Week services.

On behalf of the Community of St. Matthew's Church, we offer our Thanksgiving to the Lord for the vocation of Leah Arvidsson and Barry Ferguson who will be called to the Diaconate at a service of Ordination on Tuesday May 2 at 7 pm. at the Cathedral Church of St.Paul, in London. Blessings to you Leah and Barry.

The community of St. Matthew's invites you to A Prayer Vigil for World Peace, on Friday, March 15, at 6 pm. The Prayer Vigil will include biblical text and the participation of our Choir.

Following, join our St. Patrick's Day celebration, at 7 pm in the church hall, where a traditional Irish Stew, dessert, and beverages will be served; the cost for dinner is $25 for adults, $10 for youth (11-17) and free for children under 10 years of age. Please send an RSVP for the dinner with the number of guests at your earliest convenience. This will help us plan the meal.
