Welcome to Our Website!

The MovieMakers group takes place every Thursday at the Disability Resource Centre in Paisley.

Members learn video recording and editing skills and aim to help resolve access problems through the use of video.

We go out and film the difficulties people have, put a copy on YouTube and give a DVD to the relevant body or agency.
We also learn photo editing skills and how to turn a sequence of photos into a movie, as you'll see from some of the examples listed above.

It’s great to see how the MovieMakers group is using video to address access issues and make a positive impact. Learning video recording, editing, and photo editing skills is incredibly valuable and empowering.

If you need any tips on video editing or ideas for new projects, feel free to ask. Keep up the amazing work! 🎥✨

Is there a particular project or success story you’d like to highlight in your next newsletter?

This week at your DRC Newsletter.

Latest updates, news and more about our Groups.

Any feedback is welcome to keep the Newsletter current and enjoyable to all.

Keeping everyone updated and engaged is so important. Here are a few suggestions to make your newsletter even more enjoyable:

Highlight Member Achievements: Celebrate the successes and milestones of group members. This can be very motivating and foster a sense of community.

Interactive Content: Include polls, quizzes, or surveys to get feedback and make the newsletter more interactive.

Upcoming Events: Provide a calendar of upcoming events and activities. This helps everyone stay informed and plan ahead.

Spotlight Sections: Feature different groups or projects each week to give them visibility and encourage cross-group collaboration.

Visual Appeal: Use images, infographics, and a clean layout to make the newsletter visually appealing and easy to read.

What do you think of these ideas? Is there anything specific you’d like to focus on in the next edition?

A chance for a few of our customers to experience the thrills of the speedboat, yesterday, at Castle Semple. The sky was a bit grey but the rain held off. A brilliant morning on the Loch.

Creative Renfrewshire are excited to announce a new temporary creative space, ‘Off the High Street Gallery’, Unit 23 in the Paisley Centre. We will be facilitating this space with the help of our Programming group and are looking for artists who would like to make use of the space for up to 3 weeks at a time. We are not looking to make any profit, and so we are only charging enough to cover electricity and bills.

For anyone interested in using the space for an exhibition, studio space, or something similar, please send an email to [email protected] with a short proposal of what you’d use the space for (up to 500 words) and some links to your existing work!

We’re more than happy to chat further and answer any questions. You can send us a message, an email, or join us on Sunday 11th August between 12-2pm where we’ll be at ‘Off the High Street Gallery’ to answer questions in person and show people around the space.

We are excited to fill the Paisley Centre with even more creativity.

Thanks to StudioFV for trusting us to programme their unit and for being great supporters of creativity in Renfrewshire.
