Be with Me Today, St. Thérèse

Dear St. Thérèse, the Little Flower, Please be with me today.
Walk with me through every moment, And guide me with your gentle hand.
Help me to see God's love in the little things, and to trust in his presence throughout my day.
Grant me your childlike faith and simplicity, So that I may face each task with a joyful heart.

Shower me with your roses of grace, And keep me under your protection.
Thank you for your loving care and intercession.
Amen

Today 4th July
We honor Saint Elizabeth of Portugal. According to Legend she hid food and supplies in her cloak to secretly give to the poor. When reprimanded, the food miraculously turned to roses.

This is the most famous miracle attributed to
her. She was always an example of devotion to God and to those in need. When her husband died in 1325, she entered in a convent of Poor Claires in Coimbra where she spent the rest of her days.

O God, author of peace and lover of charity, who adorned Saint Elizabeth of Portugal with a marvelous grace for reconciling those in conflict, grant, through her intercession, that we may become peacemakers, and so be called children of God. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever.
Amen

It has been a shock to hear of the fire last night at the Loyola Centre, Wishaw. Our thoughts and prayers are very much with Fr Kevin Lawrie, recently appointed PP, and the parishioners of St Ignatius’ on the extensive damage caused. It is a cruel blow, particularly as the Centre had been renovated and enlarged in recent years.

With our prayerful support for all at St Ignatius and in the Wishaw Community who used the hall.

"The Rosary is the most beautiful and richest of all prayers to the Mediatrix of all grace; it is the prayer that touches most the heart of the Mother of God”.

Today June 27th
Feast day of Our Mother of Perpetual Help

Mother of Perpetual Help, you have been blessed and favoured by God. You became not only the Mother of the Redeemer, but Mother of the redeemed as well.
We come to you today as your loving children.
Watch over us and take care of us. As you held the child Jesus in your loving arms, so take us in your arms. Be a mother ready at every moment to help us. For God who is mighty has done great things for you, and God's mercy is from age to age on those who love God.
Intercede for us, dear Mother, in obtaining pardon for our sins, love for Jesus, final perseverance, and the grace always to call upon you.

Mother of Perpetual Help pray for us....
