Legislative update: The House met yesterday and discussed and passed the Boards and Commissions bill. Because we knew that we were not going to get more representation on the board (one LMHC on the new board), we were pushing for an advisory council. This was added to the language. Thank you to Emily Piper with Piper Consulting for pushing for this and to those who supported that change.

It is hard to make friends as an adult. That's why Ames Public Library is having a Speed Friending event Saturday, February 3, from 2-4:30pm!

Join us for a round of speed friend-matching and casual socializing. There will be guided one-on-one conversations followed by time to hang out, play games, and chat. 🤝

Everyone 18 or older is welcome.

Free Online Support Meetings During COVID-19, WEconnect and Unity Recovery are offering free online support meetings open to anyone no matter your pathway to recovery or recovery status.

CCS takes the health and safety of our clients, therapists, families, and the general public very seriously. To ensure the continued safety of everyone we are closely monitoring the recommendations from the Department of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control. At this time we are still in the office providing services.

In order to keep everyone safe, we ask that if you are experiencing a cough, fever, or are generally feeling ill that you do NOT come into the office. Please contact your therapist or call the reception line to reschedule your appointment.

We are working with the insurance companies to try and set up alternatives to in-person therapy, should that become necessary. We are committed to continuing to provide high quality assessment and therapy services to our clients.
