An avid traveller, accomplished home cook, computer engineer and all-around great guy, Nick has been the backbone of our front-of-the-house experience since practically Day 1. Consistent and unflinching through change, expansion, construction, pandemic, and more, Nick also whips up our dressings and chutneys, and you'll see him behind the bar too. Friends, due some sort of issue at Pay Safe credit card processing, transactions from June 7 - 11 from our restaurant are just being processed now, despite that fact that we processed everything as normal on our end on the same day of sale. We are very sorry for any inconvenience or confusion this is causing you. In 10 years of business, we have never experienced this. If you are seeing a charge from us this week or next, it may be from a time that you purchased from us June 7 - 11 that was not charged at that time.

Sreyashi Dey is one of the foremost exponents of Odissi in the US, and the Founder and Artistic Director of two arts organizations – Srishti Dances of India and Akshara. She is a disciple of Guru Gangadhar Pradhan in Odissi and was also a disciple of Guru Saroja Vaidyanathan in Bharatanatyam. As a thoughtful artist, she constantly expands her creative horizons with new choreographies and collaborations across artistic genres. Sreyashi regularly tours the US and has performed all over the world – in Europe, Asia and India.

Her work has been critically acclaimed by well-known critics in leading newspapers and magazines in the US, such as the New York Times, as well as in India. She has been the recipient of several awards, notably the Harry Schwalb Excellence in the Arts award, and grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and several premier foundations in the US. Sreyashi was instrumental in founding two arts festivals – the annual multi-arts Rasa Festival in Ann Arbor, and the annual KathaAngika classical dance and theater festival in Kolkata, India.

On March 16, 2020, we closed our doors for dine-in service. On March 16, 2022, we welcomed you back. We are delighted to have your joyous energy in our space once again as you gather with friends and family. Thank you for your support and patience these past two years. Thank you for the years to come.

A special thank you to the amazing humans who worked with us before, during and now after our dine-in closure. You know who you are — you are cherished.

These years without dine-in energy have been lonely, and we look forward to serving you in-person. We hope that you — our wonderful guests — will continue to grace us with your patience and understanding as we navigate this next phase. We have many new staff on board—doing a fantastic job, but, nevertheless, learning as they go.

A few notes: Carry-out orders will be taken by phone and pick up is now INSIDE the restaurant. Please note that carry-out will be limited at this time as chefs and service staff adjust to the new demands of dine-in service. Our outdoor patio is closed at this time. We will look to a full clean and re-open when the spring weather is more stable.
