A site to behold: Bethlehem’s Moravian settlement granted prestigious World Heritage Site status Bethlehem joins 25 other places in the United States as a World Heritage Site — an effort that has been decades in the making and, advocates hope, bolsters historic preservation and tourism in the Lehigh Valley.

National Native American Heritage Month commemorates Indigenous people’s history, heritage, and culture. Native nations were separated from their homelands due to genocide and Western expansion, resulting in communities being scattered into Indian reservations with substandard living conditions.
Moravian celebrates National Native American Heritage Month!
Throughout the year, especially in November, we celebrate the rich traditions, languages, and stories of Native American, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, and Island communities to ensure they continue to thrive and have access to every opportunity to succeed.
Moravian University is located in Lenapehoking, the traditional homeland of the Lenape, which includes Delaware, New Jersey, eastern Pennsylvania, and southern New York. We honor the Native inhabitants of this land and their historic and everlasting relationships with it.

We celebrate the LGBTQ+ community this month and beyond, their voices and stories. We want this to be a reminder that there is still more work to be done. Recent events have highlighted the urgent need for solidarity and support for q***r and trans people. The censorship and new laws targeting the LGBTQ+ community are undermining their rights and freedoms. Now, more than ever, it is crucial to stand up against discrimination and raise awareness. Stay informed, engage in respectful dialogue, and be a fierce advocate.
Wherever you are this Pride season, please know there is a community fighting not just for love but for your safety, peace, joy and so much more. 💙 🏳️🌈
