We would like to thank EMT Dave Pagano for his 14 years of service to our communities and patients. Dave’s last day was today as he is retiring and will start traveling around the country.

Dave has always been a professional and compassionate caregiver and co-worker.

We'd like to thank Saint Vincent's Medical Center for recognizing 2 of our long time employees last night, Marguerite Haaga and William Ostroff. Both have been teaching EMT classes in our community for the last 25 years and have put hundreds of EMT's on the road for both the city of Bridgeport and the surrounding towns. I can't think of 2 more deserving or impressive mentors! Well done!!

AMR providers (EMTs, Paramedics, Dispatchers, and RNs) from around our CT sites attended the GY6 (Got Your Six) First Responder Wellness Conference today in Bristol.

This initiative by Life Line Chaplaincy is designed to place essential and vital wellness resources in the hands of every first responder in America, free of charge.

This week, we recognize and celebrate those professionals who are the first, first responders.

When someone calls 911 for help, Telecommunicators answer the call. They remain calm and professional, offering life saving instructions while simultaneously dispatching multiple resources to the scene.

Thank you to all the Telecommunicators who dedicate their lives to helping others. We truly appreciate you.

We are saddened to learn about the passing of AMR EMT Marc Cohen yesterday.

Marc has been a part time EMT with us for many years and worked full time at Stamford EMS.

He was the consummate professional and genuinely cared about his coworkers and his patients.

Marc was extremely proud of his son, Jonathan, who plays hockey in college. He always had a big smile as he shared stories of his son’s practices and games. Marc also had a passion for bowling and pickleball on his downtime.

We will share details of any services as we learn of them. Rest easy Marc.

It is with deep regret that we announce the death of Retired Lieutenant Dave Jepsen, husband of Retired Lieutenant Lori Jepsen. Lt. Jepsen was appointed to the Fairfield Fire Department on July 16, 1979 and retired on Dec. 27, 2012.
Arrangements will be scheduled following return of the family from Texas. Please keep our sister, Lt Lori Jepsen and the Jepsen family in your prayers at this difficult time.

We are very saddened to learn about the passing of John Schwarz. John served the Town of Trumbull through his volunteerism with Trumbull Emergency Medical Services (TEMS) as well as the City of Bridgeport, CT - Government and the Town of Fairfield, CT through his work as an EMT with us.

John loved being an EMT and working with the many partners he had throughout the years. He retired a few years and moved with his wife of 35 years, Judy, to Virginia.

We all send our condolences to Judy and his family. RIP John.
