"Rise and shine and give God the glory" emphasizes the importance of starting each day with a positive attitude and a heart full of gratitude towards God. We may do this by beginning the day with prayer, thanking God for the new day, and seeking His guidance and blessings. Approach each day with enthusiasm and a sense of purpose, recognizing it as a gift from God.
We invite our community to a Summer Cookout this Saturday, 7/20, from 11-2 pm, at our Pavilion property on Buford Hwy. (A rain or shine event) There will be burgers, hot dogs, snow cones, a bounce house, outdoor games & face painting! Buford church of Christ is a great place to meet new friends, find needed encouragement, and grow in our love of the Lord. Visit our website for details.
A team of 16 from Buford joined a Latin American Missions medical campaign in Zambrano, Honduras, from July 6 to 13. 🌍 The medical clinic saw over 600 patients and provided physical medical care, eyeglasses, and prescriptions. Over 400 of those patients were willing to participate in Bible studies that resulted in 11 baptisms, 2 restorations, and many seeds planted for future growth in God’s kingdom.
Our specific Buford members worked security/crowd control, distributed prescriptions, taught children’s Bible classes, helped provide medical care, and led Bible studies. The teens also participated in an evangelism team that traveled the streets of Zambrano, visiting people’s homes and local schools.
We are grateful for their hard work and dedication to serving others. This is what it means to make a real impact! ✝️🙏
In John 6, Jesus equates Himself with bread, saying that He is essential for life. He is spiritual bread that brings eternal life. In Matthew 5:6, Jesus says, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.” Jesus satisfies our hunger and thirst for righteousness. He is our Bread of Life.

Let's take a moment to imagine if we were at the crucifixion. What moments do you think would stick with you the most?
In Jude 3, the writer tells the Church to CONTEND earnestly for the faith. This does not give us a license to be CONTENTIOUS for our faith. There is a very big difference in contending for the faith and being contentious for it. As a brotherhood, we need to do better and be better with how we communicate to one another and with the world.
Happy Independence Day from all of us at the Buford Church of Christ! 🇺🇸 May your day be filled with celebration, reflection, and gratitude for the freedoms we enjoy. God bless America!

They joined forces with Concord Street church of Christ youth from Orlando, FL. They were blessed with success, and many from the community came to different events that happened in the evenings throughout the week. Please pray that the labor results in fruit and that the Central Union church is blessed with growth!

Let's take a moment to pause and reflect on 1 Chronicles 16:34. This powerful verse reminds us of God's enduring love and kindness and encourages us to be grateful for all that He has done for us. Today and every day, let's give thanks for His enduring goodness!
If you had to choose one single page of the New Testament, which would you say is the most important? In every physical copy of the Bible, there is a page we all have in common but we never talk about. Sadly, the page that impacts every other New Testament page is also the least studied or talked about. What lesson can we learn about God from this overlooked page? Consider this . . .

Sometimes, it feels like the world has forgotten the beauty that silence and solitude offer. Even in our faith we sometimes forget to practice these disciplines. God is in control and sometimes all we need to do is be silent and put our trust in Him. Exodus 14:14
In 1 Peter, we are reminded to be holy as God is holy. 📖 Let’s lift each other up and encourage one another to live for Him!
In Revelation chapters 2 and 3, Jesus authored letters to 7 different churches. Some churches were praised by Jesus. Some churches were criticized by Jesus. And it begs the question: what would Jesus say if He wrote a letter to you today?https://www.bufordcoc.com/what-if-jesus-wrote-a-letter-to-you/
