I help you understand the technique, how, when and why it is to be executed. 🙏🏽🙌🏽 I don't care what you pay me if you don't push yourself then I don't care to train you. Period. Boxing with me is not the same as other trainers so I don't care to hear about your time with other trainers. I don't care to hear about what you think you know about boxing. I won't train you if you already train with another boxing trainer because your ass needs to learn to be loyal to your trainer. I don't care to hear if you've done jujitsu, kickboxing or whatever before unless I ask you. I definitely don't care to hear about you thinking that you're better at "street fighting" than boxing because I will be happy to demonstrate to you that having the ability to apply something you've been trained to properly execute will definitely make a difference when it comes to "street fighting." If you tell me that you don't want to "get punched in the face" then I will personally punch you in the face. 👊🏽💥You can thank me afterwards. Trust me, life punches much harder! 🤝🙌🏽 Last but DEFINITELY not least, if you can't afford me then don't bother me. I only train victims who report domestic violence not just take it because they love the bastard (I can teach you how to pull a trigger too), foster parents and foster kids, furry angel fosters (pups, cats and all other furry creatures) and victims of bullying for free. The day I interviewed boxing legend, Roy Jon's Jr. in Los Angeles and asked him how cockfighting helped improve his craft...He lit up and said, "finally a question I can get down with..! Follow me, young man! I have plenty to say...!" We talked and talked about discipline and National Geographic...I told him about my experiences with cockfighting and how my adopted grandfather and family were immersed in that...He then asked me if they had any brown reds for sale to give him a call! (That's why he looks happy and is biting his lip 🤣) Tyson with his pigeons and Roy with his roosters! It was surreal to exchange numbers with a man I truly admired growing up. I snapped this picture before departing and I'll never forget what Mr. Roy Jones Jr. said to me right after..."Keep that mind sharp and stay humble in the hunt."

When the city of Evansville announced that they would be closing all of it's public pools for the summer due to Covid19, I instantly thought, "how can I counter that for some of those kids who don't have a pool or know someone who has a pool?" So I went straight to Walmart and purchased a few hundred dollars worth of outdoor aquatic activity products.

I then posted about this and asked for those willing and able to donate to the proactive idea. The response I got from some family and friends produced some tears of love and disbelief. I received packages and donations from Texas, California, Arizona, Oklahoma, New York and even from Mexico.....for the less fortunate in EVANSVILLE, IN!

A local news station messaged and text me when someone from their station came across my post. When I did call them back the producer asked if I could let them know when I would be going out to pass out the products so they could go out with us and put together a piece for their broadcast.

Well, yesterday I reached out to let the news know that due to the high temperatures, we would be going out later that day to pass out our blessings but due to the rumored violence by "antifa protesters" that we're expected to come to the city, the news said that they were focused on the protests that day but if we could hold off until next week so they could come out. I paused for a second, took a deep breath and said, "I thank you for your time but it's hot...So you go cover that and I'll go cover the kids." I wanted to verbally loot him but then I remembered my mother's advice, "el que se enoja pierde." (he who angers loses)

So, that was that...We set out and had such a beautiful time doing what we are called to do! I love how we would be passing out the products and someone walking by yells, "that's the good news truck!" Then a few others walking by tell the families that are in disbelief that anyone is doing such a thing, "they always pass out really awesome blessing bags for the people of this community! They're always passing out sandwiches too!"

It was a hot one but we got it done. It's always such a beautiful feeling to see the kids get really excited and the parents thank us teary eyed is a feeling that I just can't put into words. Just like it's difficult to express my extreme gratitude to those who donated from not only from here but other states and from a third world country to a first world country! If that isn't a testament that we are ONE then I don't think we'll ever know one. 🙏❤️🙌

These times in our world will make fighters out of those striving for change and looters out of cowards.

The Evansville Museum celebrates 100 Years of Women's Suffrage and has put together a display of local women who have faced adversity in their own way and have risen despite their hardships. This display will run through the month of October 2020. Here is a look into the life of a brave young woman in Apbolina Guzman.

Boxing, to some, is not just a sport but a liberator...a savior. Boxing like life, requires a high degree of courage, respect, self-discipline, temperance and assertiveness in order to attain victory, a level of success when the odds are stacked against one.

Apbolina Guzman is one of Indiana's top female boxers who has competed against both female and male boxers of the state. Apbolina has been boxing for two years but has been a fighter all her life.

Fully aware of her position and role in life and as an elder to her siblings, she strives daily to be that hard-working student athlete and positive role models to those who look up to her. Apbolina is a freshman at Bosse high school who also takes college courses at Ivy Tech community college. Aside from boxing, Apbolina competes as a soccer and lacrosse player for Bosse high school.

Growing up in an environment where she faces adversity daily has given her the drive to make the most of her situations because failure is not an option. A champion in and out of the ring, Apbolina will never stop punching because she will never stop striving to be her best!

Congratulations to our trainer-leader, Hugo Giovanny on his nomination at this year's "Celebration of Leadership." It's hard to accept such an honor when helping members, both humans and animals, of our community is our sole purpose...of course, mixed in with a little bit of boxing. 🙏😊🥊
