SHOT Day 4 Coverage

1: Scorpion EVO 3 S1 rifles in .22lr have finally made it to dealers (we just got ours). These will be fun plinking guns. Have all the features we like about the 9mm version but gives you a cheaper ammo alternative.
2: NOMAD Ti XC. This new model is a lighter and stronger version of the previous NOMAD. Now featuring an enhanced two stage coaxial baffle system with pressure harnessing structures that regulate low pressure and high pressure rounds. Rated up to .300 RUM. Barrel restrictions are 12.5in for 5.56 and 6in for .300blk subs.
3, 4, 5 & 6: Lazarus 6 suppressor. Boreas ABD and Kelvin can Guard. The Lazarus was designed for 6MM and has Dead Air’s Triskelion baffle system and is made out of Haynes 282 material. No barrel restrictions and rated for 6mm and 5.56/.223. When paired with the Boreas ABD gas tuning device shown, the user can effectively tune their suppressor. Neat idea, we’ll see how well it works when these release. The Boreas ABD is only for the Lazarus can.
7: 30X Tomcat “Get Home Bag”. Don’t know applicable this gun would be for everyday carry but I want it anyways. It’s optic ready, has an extended magazine and Beretta skeletonized the trigger and hammer.
8: 509 CC Edge XL. Sizing up the already popular compact model. The XL still has the QD compensator and non threaded barrel for tool-less removal. FN claims the compensator reduces muzzle rise by up to 25% and the longer grip would certainly benefit the shooter over their compact model. We want one of these on the range to see how it does.
9: 509 Compact with factory compensator. Same idea as the 509 CC Edge compact already out, but simplified in terms of looks for those who don’t want a flashy carry gun.
10: TRP lineup of 1911s are back. They introduced 6 new models to cover all the bases. All are chambered in .45ACP. They even dropped a new Compact model with 4.25 inch barrel and carry contour grip.

While most associate today with the attack on Pearl Harbor, there was another engagement happening 1,300 miles away on Midway Atoll that involved USMC First Lieutenant, George Cannon. While under Japanese naval bombardment, Cannon was wounded by an enemy shell and “He refused to be evacuated from his post until after his men who had been wounded by the same shell were evacuated and directed the reorganization of his command post until forcibly removed. As a result of his utter disregard of his own condition he died from loss of blood.” He would receive the Medal Of Honor for his actions that day. Midway Atoll would later be the site of the battle that turned the tide in the Pacific Theater.

FSP Friday at RifleGear today. Had some of the guys bring in their front sight post guns. Before anyone says it, Daewoo K1A1 absolutely qualifies as a FSP gun. If you disagree, get bent. Loving some of the Patrol Rifle setups in here too.
