AQUARIUM RESERVATIONS NOW AVAILABLE! We are counting down the days to the opening of Sobela Ocean Aquarium on September 1! As previously announced, we want as many guests as possible to experience this new facility, so FREE timed reservations are required for entry into the Aquarium. There is no limit on how long guests can stay once inside, but we do ask everyone to be respectful so that all visitors get a chance to meet our new animal residents. Starting today, Aquarium reservations are available for September 1 – 15. Additional reservations will be added on September 6, after we’ve assessed the first week and made adjustments as necessary. We are also offering an exclusive hour for Friends of the Zoo members with tickets starting as early as 8:30 am beginning September 2. But remember, FOTZ members still need to reserve their free entry time on the Zoo’s website! You will be able to make reservations for as many family members as are covered by your FOTZ membership. If you plan to bring non-member guests, please make your reservation outside the exclusive FOTZ hour.

Congratulations to Police Officers Matthew Byrum and Cameron Ault, our February I-STAR award recipients. The officers are being honored for assisting a family who had been evicted and were facing a cold night without shelter. The officers went above and beyond, helping the mother pick-up her children and connecting her with community resources. Thank you for once again showing what makes this community great.
