Aquatherapies/ Lift Therapy had fun this morning helping with Therapy & Learning Center SPLASH and DASH event! Here are some before and after pictures. We are thankful to be part of such a special event for a great cause.

We enjoyed having the Jackson State PTA class out and learning about Aquatic Therapy.

Here is some of our crew today being festive today.

Sports Plus Aquatherapies will be closed Monday September 5,2022 in observance of Labor Day.

We will resume normal business hours on Tuesday September 6th.

Part time later afternoon &Evening job

assists therapists with patient treatments by preparing treatment area, providing supplies and/or equipment needed for the therapist to perform treatment, physically assisting therapist with activities, and transporting patients to and from treatment areas.
Must be able to work with patients while the patients have specialized equipment monitors, IV’s, etc.
Assists in maintaining department cleanliness and monitors department inventory of equipment and supplies, notifying appropriate personnel of shortages and needed replacements.
Clean all treatment areas and equipment before and after each patient is treated.
Performs secretarial duties. i.e. taking referrals, scheduling patients, answering phones, filing charts, etc.
Performs related responsibilities as assigned or directed.
Contributes to a positive work climate and overall team effort of the department.

🎉Congrats to Cory Wingo for graduating PT! 🎉

He was seen for low back pain as well as addressing exercise mechanics. He was the typical “weekend warrior,” but since therapy is now able to do all his activities with NO pain. We wish you the best of luck.

Though Hospital Week is May 8 - 14th, we wanted to take the time to highlight our employees all month long. These are just a few of the amazing people who have helped keep our hospital system going during Covid-19, and we are beyond lucky to have them. You may have seen them at any of our locations, but check out who they are behind the mask! Today's is Alissa Inman.

"I am Alissa Inman. I am a Physical Therapist and the Program Manager for Sports Plus Aquatherapies, one West Tennessee Healthcare’s outpatient therapy clinics. When I am not at work, I love to travel! This is a picture from my trip to Maine. I definitely have missed traveling and am looking forward to hitting the road again! I also love to paint as well as spend time with my furbabies and my family - especially my nieces, who keep me on my toes."

⭐️NEW EMPLOYEE SPORTLIGHT⭐️

We are so grateful to have welcomed Tiffany Williams onto our Aquatherapies team back in December. She joined us full-time as our new Patient Access Representative.

👨‍👩‍👦‍👦Tiffany and her husband Josh have the cutest little boys: Jayce (3 years old) and Kizer (11 months old).

🏠Originally from Dyersburg, Tiffany and her family now live in Lexington.

🍫 Tiffany has the biggest sweet tooth and always has a few extra sweets to share.

Several staff members volunteered and helped with Therapy and Learning Center 💦SPLASH and 🏃🏻‍♂️DASH 5k and fun run. We had a blast and even got in on the fun! Can you tell who got the messiest?

Today we had the pleasure of having Jackson State Physical Therapy Assistant Program first year students. They are learning about aquatic therapy and how properly meet the needs of aquatic patients.

March is Athletic Training Month! Throughout the month, we will be sharing all of our Sports Plus Athletic Trainers to highlight who they are and the great work they do for the students and schools they're involved with.

We are so happy to welcome Brittany Stenberg, PTA into our Aquatherapies family as our new full-time PTA. Brittany has previously worked as a PT tech for both the Lift and Aquatherapies. She graduated from her PTA program in May and has been with us since July. We are already so proud of what she has accomplished! Her deep desire to help patients be the best they can, as well as her hilarious personality are two of the many reasons Brittany is the perfect new addition.

🥳Join us in congratulating Kay Huffman on her recent graduation from therapy. After struggling with chronic knee pain, Kay came to us with hopes of returning to all her daily activities pain free. We have loved getting to work with Kay, while watching all the progress she has made. Both aquatic and land-based therapy were used as part of her protocol. We wish you the best of luck! Always remember we are just “One Call Away.”

A BIG congrats to Krista Erlandson for graduating from therapy today. Krista initially presented with chronic low back that made her daily activities more difficult. She completed treatment, which included both aquatic and traditional land based therapy, including manual therapy and dry needling techniques. As a result of her hard work and our therapists’ expertise, Krista is back to doing all the things she loves. We wish you the best and will continue to cheer you on from afar!
