The Junior League of Binghamton whipped together and served up a community meal at Trinity Memorial Church this past Sunday! The Junior League

Lunch included baked beans, coleslaw, salt potatoes, chicken from Phil's Chicken House Inc, rolls donated from Texas Roadhouse, fresh fruit and cupcakes!

We served 40-50 ppl and provided to-go boxes for second helpings and/or for food to-go.

We are so pleased that yesterday evening, amongst our members, partners, elected officials, sponsor, friends and guests, to have shared two community announcements:

1. We’ll be putting on a 2025 Designer Show House Fundraiser at Kilmer Mansion

2. Our next community focus impact project will be a ‘Food Recovery & Prepared Meal Truck’ CHOW

The proceeds from the 2025 Designer Show House will support the Junior League of Binghamton, allowing us to continue our mission of promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving our community through effective action and leadership. The Junior LeagueAdditionally, a portion of the funds raised will be dedicated to the ‘Food Recovery & Prepared Meal Truck’ ensuring that the positive impact of your contributions extends well into the community, truly making a difference.

Last week the held their monthly General Membership Meeting. The Done-in-a-Day project was knot blankets for youth residents at the Grand Blvd Group Home. ❤️🖤 Tickets are now available for the Mother Daughter Dance on April 27th. This weekend we celebrated Deirdre Ballard as Junior League of Binghamton’s 2024 nominee for the Broome County Status of Women Council’s Women of Achievement Award. Broome County Status of Women Council

Deirdre has been a member of JLB since 2019, is the VP of Membership, and serves with the committee serving the Grand Blvd Group Home. Deirdre is a graduate of Whitney Point, holds a Masters of Social Work from Binghamton University, and is a social worker at MacArthur Elementary in the Binghamton City School District. Deirdre is mom to Piper, a troop co-leader and service unit manager with the Girl Scouts of NYPenn Pathways, and co-director/coach with Whitney Point Youth Club Soccer.

She is certainly committed to her community, friends, and family – Congratulations Deirdre!!
