What exactly is carpal tunnel syndrome? ✋

Carpal tunnel syndrome is when the median nerve becomes irritated near the wrist. This leads to numbness and tingling in the thumb, pointer, and middle fingers.

When treating numbness or tingling in the hand, it is important to evaluate the entire upper extremity and then treat problem areas to relieve nerve irritation.
