These videos show playful ways to use Comfort Kits for Children. Each tote has toys and guidance for mind-body practices. These practices help children regulate their feelings, decrease anxiety, improve sleep, and manage pain - particularly after being exposed to traumatic events. Caregivers, parents, and other adults can coach children to use the 6 "Skills for Feeling Better." The toys and items in the kits facilitate these practices. Reach out to us to learn more about getting Comfort Kits and remote training on how to use them. We have instructions on our website in 6 languages, as Comfort Kits for Children have been going to Ukraine, Poland, Turkey, and US communities. Our Comfort Kits have been developed by psychologists and pediatricians to support children and families in need of psychological first aid.

We will soon be able to say that we've sent 1000 Comfort Kits to children impacted by the war in Ukraine! This is thanks to the incredible partners, volunteers, and donations we are receiving. 2023 brings an extension of our mission to children in Chicagoland, who are unfortunately also impacted by traumatic events like gun violence and more. The simple toys and items in the kits, plus playful guidance for caregivers to use to coach children, are a bit of psychological first aid and healing. www.comfortkitsforchildren.org
