Please welcome the newest addition to our Winnebago branch, Patrick Burke!

Patrick attended St. Ambrose University studying exercise science and then went on to finish his PTA degree at Clarkson College in Omaha Nebraska. He is planning to complete his bachelor's degree in PTA/Clinical management this fall through Clarkson College. He has a special interest in orthopedic, and sports related rehabilitation and performance. His hobbies outside of Physical Therapy are hiking, sports, and mountain biking.

At long last, it's time we formally introduced our newest addition to our Byron branch, Mallory Blassingham, PT!

Mallory attended Northern Illinois University to earn her doctorate in physical therapy. In PT school, she was a student of Woody’s during her clinical experiences and knew ORS was the place she wanted to be! Mallory’s favorite part of being a physical therapist is helping patients feel empowered in and out of the clinic and meeting each patient where they are at on their rehabilitation journey. She takes special interest in manual therapy, orthopedics, and vestibular rehabilitation.

Orthopedic Rehab Specialists is pleased to announce Leah Crull has successfully completed the necessary requirements for recertification of her Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential.
A Certified Hand Therapist is an Occupational or Physical Therapist who, after meeting specific eligibility requirements, has passed a comprehensive test of advanced clinical skills and theory in upper quarter rehabilitation. Because of ongoing changes in the profession, The Hand Therapy Certification Commission (HTCC) requires a CHT to demonstrate continued professional development and competency by recertifying every 5 years. This is achieved through participation in HTCC approved continuing education courses totaling 80 hours.

Leah has been a Certified Hand Therapist for 25 of her 39 years as an Occupational Therapist. Congratulations, Leah, on your continued dedication to the field of Occupational Therapy!

Orthopedic Rehab Specialists is seeking to hire Licensed Massage Therapists serving our clientele working at our main facility in Rockford. Part time and full time opportunities are available. Full-time benefits are available for 32 hours per week.

Flexible hours. Limited part-time benefits available. ORS is responding to the needs of our growing therapy program, offering massage services for our existing physical & occupational patients in addition to outside massage therapy clients. Our current Massage Program includes therapeutic/deep tissue massage, Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, Myofascial work, Stretching, Cupping, Trigger Point Therapy, Hot Stones, & Gua-Sha.

Our position starts at $25.00/hour plus tips for scheduled massages, and $20/hour for in-clinic time. Bonus eligibility based on performance and the overall performance of the company. We consider in-clinic as compensable time where Massage Therapists may be working with existing patients to introduce them to the benefits of utilizing massage therapy in conjunction with a patient's existing Physical/Occupational therapy program.

Julia attended First Institute in Crystal Lake to get her license as a Massage Therapist. Julia strives to give each client a personalized session that will leave you feeling relaxed, rejuvenated, and relieved from those daily discomforts. She specializes in deep tissue, Swedish, prenatal, and hot stone massage. She also utilizes multiple techniques such as cupping, myofascial work, trigger point and stretching.

Julia says, “Physical and mental wellness through Massage Therapy is a passion of mine and I enjoy sharing that with others through my work.”
