The Marion County Health Department will be offering the updated 2023/2024 monovalent Xbb.1.5 variant Moderna COVID-19 vaccinations by appointment only at our immunization clinics held on Mondays at the Salem office and on Wednesdays at the Centralia office.

The updated 2023/2024 monovalent Xbb.1.5 variant Moderna COVID-19 vaccine fee is $186.00. The Marion County Health Department does accept Medicare B, Managed Care Plans and most Private Insurance Plans.

Please call the Salem office at 618/548-3878 or the Centralia office at 618/532-6518 to make an appointment. No walk-ins will be allowed. Thank you.

As of September 25, 2023, residential households in the U.S. can order one set of 4 free at-home tests from USPS again.

Here's what you need to know about your order:
-Limit of one order per residential address

WELLNESS ON WHEELS FLU VACCINATION CLINIC

The Marion County Health Department is partnering with the Illinois Department of Public Health to provide a walk-up flu clinic at the Community Resource Center (CRC) located at 904 MLK Jr Drive, Centralia, Illinois. The Marion County Health Department will have the Wellness on Wheels mobile unit in the CRC parking lot from 10 am to Noon on Tuesday, September 26, 2023. Anyone 19 years and older will be able to receive a flu vaccination. High-Dose and regular flu vaccinations will be available. Please bring your insurance cards to the clinic.

The high-dose flu vaccine is for those individuals that are 65 years and older. The high-dose flu vaccination fee is $85.00. MCHD does accept Medicare Part B and most Private Insurance Plans.

The regular flu vaccination fee is $50.00. MCHD does accept Managed Care Plans, Medicare Part B and most Private Insurance Plans.

The Illinois Department of Public Health Center for Minority Health Services offers the use of its Wellness on Wheels (WOW) Mobile Units to organizations and local health departments wanting to take health clinic services into a community.
