Member Spotlight: Ethan McFarland

Ethan is a rising junior from Kansas City majoring in computer science. On campus Ethan is the president of the TU Martial Arts Club, serves as the secretary for the Future Alumni Council, and plays the cello in the TU Orchestra! This year, he was named a Top 10 Freshman and ENS Outstanding Greek Scholar by the University!

Currently, Ethan is the External Vice President for the fraternity. He oversees planning for philanthropy, community service, and social events.

Member spotlight: Thomas Howard

Thomas is a rising sophomore from Edmond, OK majoring in Exercise Sports Science. Last year, Thomas was a part of the Pathways program and assisted with football operations and training. After college, he wishes to go to PT school and pursue a career as a Physical Therapist.

Thomas currently serves as our recruitment chair handling all events and communications. He also fulfills the secretary role for the TU Martial Arts Club.

Congrats to our A league softball team who won the league championship earlier this week!

Over the past few weeks at Pi Kappa Alpha we had our Philanthropy Week benefiting the Tulsa Boys, Moms’s Weekend, and Spring Formal. Our Philanthropy Week included events such as Pie-a-Pike, a Car Wash, and a Fair Day. Brothers also hosted our wonderful mothers at our chapter house for breakfast, pot painting, and a trip to the Philbrook Museum. Finally, brothers traveled to Branson, Missouri for formal this past weekend where we enjoyed our brotherhood before the semester comes to an end.

Brotherhood Paintball 2024! Thank you for having us Paintball Land.

Pike Spring Break 2024 was an absolute blast! From hitting the beach to shredding the slopes and everything in between, our brothers made the most of every moment. We soaked up the sun, embraced the thrill of the slopes, reconnected with loved ones, caught up with former members, explored potential futures at medical schools, and even found time to cast a line and reek in some memories. It was a week filled with adventure, camaraderie, and unforgettable experiences. Here’s to the bonds of brotherhood and the adventures of bringing us closer together!

It’s almost Philanthropy Week! Can’t wait to see you all there!

This weekend brothers attended Greenwood Rising Black Wall St. History Center to learn about the important history of Tulsa, partnered with Up With Trees to plant 270 trees in our local community, and won Tri Delta’s Hoops for Hope basketball tournament in support of St. Jude! We feel privileged to take part in all of these amazing events this weekend!

This weekend a large group of members traveled to Dallas to attend Pike U along with many other chapters from across the nation. This two day event intends to educate members on Pi Kappa Alpha’s History and values. The event inspired many members to strive for continuous improvement to achieve a greater future for our fraternity and community. φφκα

This weekend brothers Jackson Scruggs, Joseph Cohn, and Thomas Howard attended the annual Pike Chapter Executives Conference (CEC) in Memphis, Tennessee.

They also were able to visit the international fraternity headquarters and learn history about the national fraternity and the Gamma Upsilon chapter as a whole!
