Congratulations to award recipients in the 2021 ASHRAE Student Design Competion, who were announced today. We are delighted to report that two Penn State teams received awards:
A team comprised of Bawen Guo, Thomas Levkulic, Emilee Moore, Kevin Ruan, Justin Sembower, Alexis Sheeto, with industry co-advisor Joe Firrantello of Envinity received the "Rising Star" award in the HVAC System Selection category.
Our Integrated Sustainable Building Design Team of Andrew Cosini, Xinyan Liu , Christopher Maitski, Andrew McGrail, Roumany Phan, Christopher Unis, with industry co-advisor Luke Leung of SOM placed first.
Entries were prepared as the group design project in AE 455. The project building was a building on a higher education campus in Prince George, BC, CAN.

The 2022 building will be a performing arts center on a university campus in Sydney, NSW, AUS.
