Good news. No surgery to repair the broken elbow. Just need to baby it and wear a sling or brace. Follow up x-ray next week to see how it's healing. Sure looks ugly though.

Hey folks you DO know that Dr. Dave only took one day off and is still working his normal hours......right?

Dr. Dave will NOT be in today, 5/16/24 as he took a nasty fall last night and is headed to Urgent Care today for x-rays to rule out a broken forearm and collar bone......It's official....A nondisplaced fracture of the olecranon, also known as an olecranon fracture, is a break in the bone that doesn't move out of place. Nondisplaced fractures are often caused by falls, motor vehicle accidents, or assaults.

Whatever knocked Dr. Gretchen out last week got to Dr. Dave Saturday night, Sunday and today, President's Day. He will not be in.🤢

We had a great night yesterday learning the basics about Essential Oils from Jenny Davis. Next scheduled meeting here at the office will be March 11 when she will speak about Essentials for our "Littles".

Monday, 1/22/24. Freezing rain still in the air with "regular" rain to follow. Most roads were really well treated by MODOT and easy to travel. Some side streets...and ESPECIALLY sidewalks and parking lots are still treacherous. DON'T go out unless you absolutely have to but know that I (Dr. Dave) am here in the office today if you need me.

Walk safely on snow or ice.
-Take short steps or shuffle with toes pointed out for stability.
-Bend slightly forward and walk flat-footed with your center of gravity directly over your feet as much as possible.
-Keep your hands OUT of your pockets.
-Be prepared to fall.

Dr. Dave had his out-patient surgical procedure last Monday with a follow-up for the following Wednesday. The surgery went well but in the follow-up, a blockage was noted. (painful to say the least) Action had to be taken..IMMEDIATE action...requiring him to wear a catheter (TMI??) until Monday, 1/15/24.

With that in mind, he will have morning and evening hours but no afternoon hours Monday as he goes in for a re-evaluation.
Hours that day will be 8am - 10am, 5pm - 7pm

This getting older stuff is not fun.

BTW, did you hear about the fortune telling elf that was arrested but broke out of jail?

Obviously a case of a Small, Medium at Large.

out patient surgery Monday morning, 1/8/24 at 9:45am and PLAN to return to work Wednesday evening. I covet your prayers.

Come experience the real meaning of Christmas and the events leading up to it. Through scripture, reenacted scenes, and music; you will learn about the gift of Christ Jesus to the world.

The performance takes place in Lord of Life Lutheran Church's sanctuary, with actors dressed in period costumes. Scripture readings provide context for the scenes and live music led by Dr. Mark Laverty (and me) enhances the overall experience. Each performance will be approximately 45-minutes with the audience seated during the performance

I Still Believe in Christmas
tells the parallel story of the wise men searching for the star and a modern-day journey filled with lost hope and despair. Sometimes it's when Jesus feels so far away He is actually closest. Intertwined with inspirational Christmas music from a full orchestra and drama scenes portrayed by St. John's members.

Performances will be held Friday, December 8 at 7 pm, Saturday, December 9 at 3 pm and 7 pm, and Sunday, December 10 at 10 am.
