I had the privilege of raising money for Squash Busters earlier in the month. It is a great program for Boston's youth to learn the game and get help with academics. My partner, Gary Waite, is a legend in squash so I also had an absolute ball playing with him.

My entire team and I recently celebrated the 2024 Annual Gala & Auction, a night filled with community, compassion, and commitment to the future of our youth under the inspiring theme, "The Greatest People in the World Walk Through This Door."

The evening was a spectacular success, raising a record-breaking $570,000 and counting. Dr Darviche, Jess, Jenn, Sally and I are very committed to this incredible resource because it is so valuable to the Waltham Community where we practice

I see a lot of this type of excessive wear lately so I thought it might be interesting to post. Patients don't like the way this looks so we often crown these teeth restoring them to a better shape. Here I show the temps placed which are used as guides for the final restorations which are fabricated onsite.

I took this photo because it is a great way to introduce something called anterior open bite. As you can see, the front teeth do not touch. Often, patients with this condition have excessively worn teeth, sensitivity and headaches making treatment necessary. As a take away, please think about how your teeth fit together when you close because it is very important that they fit together uniformly unlike anterior open bite where only the back teeth touch.

Today my dental assistant of 9 years, Jessica Soto, and I attended the Tuesday Community Breakfast for the Waltham Boys and Girls Club. This charity is my favorite in Waltham because they understand community and nurture it in such a special way. Jess's children, Alexander and Liandro, were members of the month last month which made everyone in our practice so proud. If any of you are looking to make a really meaningful donation, please consider this wonderful organization.

I had the privilege of attending The Patriots Game yesterday and going on the field after. My friends and I got this photo op with the team mascot. It was special as Tom Brady spoke about the power of team at half time which inspired me this morning to reference that very thing at our Monday Morning Huddle. Go Pats!

Yesterday was a great day as my son, Nick, graduated from Boston College. I could not be happier with his education and experience for I know he is ready to begin a great life.

Dr Darviche and I were Bronze sponsors of Last NIghts Gala for the Waltham Boys and Girls club shown here in the brochure. IT was truly a special evening listening to the stories of young people doing great things. We were honored to be a part of it.

Congratulations to the Brookline High School Boys Squash Team for winning their Division at the National Championships.

My daughter plays college squash for Drexel and my son plays on the club team at Boston College. I play the game because I love it for it creates a community for me and great exercise. Programs like this in Brookline grow the game.

This case is classic for adult braces as this patient's current bite is causing front teeth to chip and the gums to recede. I just received the movie, treatment stages, from clear correct demonstrating how we can use clear aligners to put the teeth in the right position so that no more damage is done. After this 6 month or so treatment, this patient may want some grafts or new front teeth.

THis week is the Annual Yankee Dental Meeting which my team and I have attended for the past 30 plus years. It is great for everyone as we get to see the latest and greatest along with the ability to connect with colleagues and vendors. We have always found it important to participate in this great event in an effort to always give our best to our patients.

This case is a great example of how long Reconstructive Dentistry, Full Mouth Reconstruction, can last. The top photo was taken in 2007 while the bottom photo was taken last week. This patient and I are very happy and proud of this result.

I like to start off the year by showing a nice cosmetic case that was completed in 2 hours and made a world of difference for this patient. We were able to use cosmetic bonding with a temporary bridge to really improve this persons appearance.

I got a great photo op with my kids on Saturday when I thought I was taking my kids to a Christmas Brunch when it was really a Santa Brunch. Nick and Katerina were great sports and still enjoyed a picture with Santa even though they are about to graduate college. Merry Christmas Everyone!

I put this 4 unit lower bridge in and front tooth yesterday and the patient could not be happier.

I put these 12 teeth in 2 weeks ago and this patient could not be happier. His teeth were really worn and now they look great.

I treated this patient this morning and in about 3 hours we created this new smile for her seen in the before and after photos below. We used composite veneers to change the shape and size of her teeth. Patients receiving this type of care are incredibly grateful.
