It’s a big week because this weekend we are having our Tedx event! It is free for all and tell a friend to tell a friend. We cannot wait to see you there!

WHAT IS TED TALK TUESDAY: TTT is an initiative to bring your attention to existing Ted talks that we feel are relevant to our theme. The audience gets to share talks that inspire and move them in a positive with us and we can share it here with everyone else.
WHY: To get the audience thinking about relevant ideas and discuss them here (in a safe space!)

We are extending the speaker application deadline until Monday, Dec. 20th! Anyone can apply including students, faculty, and community members. The theme is (Re)starting the Conversations. Now, that we are coming back to a new normal, what conversations need to be restarted or happen for the first time? Anyone can be a speaker including students, faculty, staff, and community members. All you need to do is have an idea worth sharing that relates to the theme. If interested, please fill out the TEDxWartburgCollege 2022 Speaker Application Form by Monday, Dec. 20th. Let's introduce our last speaker, Nate Cannon!
Cannon has attended the University of Minnesota, Hamline University, MN Paralegal Institute, and is on the NCCDP.
If Cannon could solve a global issue it would be to eliminate the divides between us.
A person Cannon looks up to is Cannon's mom. Cannon said, "She's the most resilient person I've ever known and without her standing by my side through my darkest of days, I wouldn't be alive.”
Cannon’s top bucket list item is to visit Australia and see koalas in the wild.
Fun fact about Cannon, Cannon loves pancakes!

Meet Deborah Gilboa M.D.!
Gilboa has attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and Carnegie Mellon University.
If she could solve a global issue she would make education free and accessible to every child.
Gilboa looks up to many people, but the most notable person is Oprah. Gilboa said, " I admire Oprah, as she saw a cultural problem (that women believed they should care for others at their own detriment), and set out to change our culture in order to solve it and is succeeding."
Her top bucket list item is to spend an entire summer traveling with her kids.
Fun fact about Gilboa, she has a superpower of helping people figure out what career they want to pursue

Today we're introducing Dylan Lundgren!
Lundgren is an addiction recovery advocate and speaker.
If he could see a global issue resolved he would like to see massive levels of unhappiness and trauma resolved.
Lundgren looks up to John F. Kennedy because as Lundgren has said, "He is willing to stand up for what's right."
His top bucket list item is to hike the Haiku Stairs in Hawaii.
Fun fact about Lundgren, he loves to dance and sing karaoke.

Meet Nikki Cohn-Byrd
Cohn-Byrd is a Sr. Employee Benefit Account Exec, former health coach, creator at Sexy Healthcare, sales and marketing strategy director at Digital Health SaaS Company Heads Up Health from Phoenix.
If she could solve a global issue she would improve the quality of access to healthcare.
Cohn-Byrd looks up to a few people. She said, "I look up to Elon Musk for being as smart and forward thinking as I'd want to be, Julie Yoo of A16Z for being a figurehead in healthcare VC, and all the female actresses and musicians who I'm living a creative life vicariously through!”
Her top bucket list item is travelling to as many places as she possibly can.
Fun fact about Cohn-Byrd, she loves horses, dogs, and basically all animals!

Meet Kyson J. Stoker!
Stoker is a corn dog truck operator, newspaper delivery boy, and a spikeball fanatic from Layton, Utah.
If he could solve a global issue, he would like to resolve world inadequacy. Stoker said, “I would love to help each individual question their own negative self-talk and let themselves thrive. Whether this be in African tribes or European cities; our world needs each unique contribution.”
Stoker looks up to Nelson Mandela because he admires his humility and determination.
His top bucket list item is to raise an awesome family.
Fun fact about Stoker, he is an expert at catching grapes in his mouth.

Let us introduce Charlotte Ding!
Ding is currently a high school student from Irvine, California who hopes to study psychology in college.
If she could solve a global issue she would promote outdoor activities for people in her age and inspire them to keep the environment clean.
Ding looks up to the first woman to summit Mt. Everest--Junko Tabei.
Her top bucket list item is to finish climbing the 7 summit's and North and South Poles.
Fun fact about Ding, she loves playing a Chinese instrument called Guzheng.

Her top bucket list item is to star in a television show or movie with a speaking role.
Fun fact about Deadwiler, she played basketball in college.
