Today is a big day for the Class of 2028! The March Back will go live at approximately 11 a.m. as the formation finishes their 14 mile trek near Quarters 100 and arrives at the apron. Congratulations USMA 2028!

One of the most picturesque locations at West Point - The U.S. Military Academy. It is nice to take a little time to learn more about the monuments and history behind them.

Twelve cadets from West Point Glee Club are currently in Normandy as part of a Joint Service Academy Glee Club on a very special mission.

To commemorate the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings, American Airlines flew nearly 70 World War II veterans and their travel companions to Normandy, France. The historic trip started at American’s headquarters in Dallas-Fort Worth with a kickoff dinner that included a 1940s-era big band, the Victory Belles from the National World War II Museum in New Orleans, and the Joint Service Academy Glee Club. Veterans were also given a special heroes’ arrival by American Airlines team members before heading to Dallas Fort Worth International airport, where the celebration continued.

Additional trip participants include a few Rosie the Riveters, an iconic representation in the United States of the women who worked in factories and shipyards during World War II, and six Medal of Honor recipients, our nation’s highest award for valor.

In France the tour began in Paris, moved to Bayeaux, and now on to Omaha Beach and other D-Day landing sites. Performing music of the era for these heroes, experiencing history where it was made, and learning the stories of these honored Veterans is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
