The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will be at the Letcher County Circuit Court Clerk’s Office Wednesday December 7, 2022 to renew operator license, ID’s, CDL’S and obtain the Real-ID.
You will need to go to the drive.Ky.gov website pop-up locations to make an appointment. The first day you will be able to make an appointment will be this Friday, November 18, 2022 starting at 9am.

Mark your calendars!! The City of Whitesburg Christmas Parade will be on Friday, December 9th 2022 at 6:00 p.m.

The Kentucky County Clerk’s Association Disaster Relief Fund raised $1,000 for each of the 13 counties that were affected by the flood to be used to provide meals for the flood victims. The check was presented to Community Agricultural Nutritional Enterprises, Inc.- CANE by Winston Meade the Letcher County Clerk.

1) In-person, EXCUSED, Absentee Voting will be at the Letcher Couny Clerk’s Office. The reasons for voting EXCUSED are listed here:

2) In-person, NO-EXCUSE, Absentee Early Voting will be at the Letcher County District Courtroom & Letcher County Rec Center.

3) Election Day there will be 11 VOTING CENTERS open and voters will be able to vote at ANY location.

There will be Representatives from the TN/KY Vets Center at the Letcher County Recreational Center on Saturday, August 13 and Sunday, August 14, 2022 from 10AM-2PM. They’re will be FEMA Representatives, Counselors, and lots of different resources to assist Veterans affected by the flood with whatever they may need! If you need transportation to the Rec Center for these resources please contact Whitesburg VFW POST 5829 on their page, leave your name & number and they will help you the best they can!
