AB 3088 LEGISLATION TO EXTEND COVID-19 TENANT EVICTION MORATORIUM THROUGH JUNE 30, 2021.
Certain Owners Could Receive up to 80% of Rent Owed From April 1, 2020 Through March 31, 2021. If so, landlords will have to waive the remaining 20%.
A new notice requirement will be due by February 28, 2021 to all tenants who, as of February 1, 2021 have not paid one or more rental payments due between March 1, 2020 and June 30, 2021.
FULL Details are set to be released by this Thursday/Friday, bill is expected to be signed by Governor Newsom thereafter.

🆘 AB 3088 passed last night. I will elaborate later today.
At a glance: Qualifying tenants cannot be evicted for rent unpaid between March and September. Going forward, though, tenants who qualify for eviction protections will need to start paying at least some of the rent. By Jan. 31, 2021, at least 25% of the rent owed since September must be paid. Otherwise, their landlord can proceed with an eviction case on or after Feb. 1, 2021.
