Goodmorning All Supporters, please take note that the services of Centurion Hospice is still continuing within the community, we only had to stop the IN-PATIENT services for now since we are going through a difficult time.
Our community home care, Legacy Shop at Centurion Hospice and Memory Lane still continues with daily operations.
More than ever we need the support of the public to donate goods, time, expertise etc to us.

In celebration of (18 July 2024)., Hospice is appealing to the community and businesses to assist with donations. Monetary donations go towards the upkeep and services of cars, tyres, and fuel, which are vital for home-based carers to get to their patients. Gift cards for any store of your choice and non-perishable food items are also gratefully welcome.
Cash donations qualify for a Section 18A Tax Certificate.

We regret to inform you that Centurion Hospice is currently facing significant challenges.
As a result, we have made the difficult decision to close our In-Patient Unit (IPU) as of
end July 2024.
However, during this time, we are actively exploring ways to reposition the organization to continue serving our community with the same level of commitment and high-quality community palliative care.
Centurion Hospice will continue with the following services:
• Community Palliative Care Services (care at home services)
• Legacy & Book Legacy Shop at Centurion Hospice
• Memory Lane Café (sit-down/take away menu & catering for all occasions)
• Medical Equipment rentals
Trading hours and office hours: Monday – Friday (08:00 – 16:00) & Saturday (08:00 – 13:00).
Donations can be delivered or we collect donations during office hours. Collections can be scheduled via WhatsApp – 060 7989340.
We will maintain ongoing communication with the community and our stakeholders.

Centurion Hospice cares... from the start to way past the end
Palliative care is about making live more than just bearable to the very end. And while our focus is on the patient, we also care for the loved ones that have to say goodbye.
You have heard it said that hospice is about quality of live, dignity in death and support in bereavement. But what does that mean? Unfortunately many people do not understand palliative care and amongst those that do, many still believe that hospice is about dying. Nothing is further from the truth! While hospices work with people in the end stage of life - either with a terminal illness or as a result of an accident, the focus is on living.
Our dedicted professional nurses, social workers, volunteers and contracted doctors are committed to helping patients achieve comfort and dignity at the end of life. They provide pain and sympton management, appropriate therapy and consistant support that help maximize quality of life. As circumstances or care-needs change, Centurion Hospice offers longer-term care planning, including the option of in-patient care. Grief support is provided for family and friends after the death of a loved one.
With the help of hospice, patients, families and loved ones can focus on what’s most important: enjoying life together and living as fully as possible.
