تنطلق يوم الخميس فعاليات أحد أكبر وأبرز المسابقات البحثية في الدولة والمنطقة، وهي المسابقة البحثية لطلبة الجامعات في دورتها العاشرة! بمشاركة 400 بحث علمي ضمن 19 فئة بحثية مختلفة، قدمتها فرق بحثية من 64 جامعة من 14 دولة، ويشارك في المسابقة لجان تحكيم واسعة الخبرة وتحصل الفرق الفائزة على جوائز رائعة، فلا تفوتوا هذه التجربة المتميزة. نتطلع لرؤيتكم! 
 
One of the most significant and highly anticipated research competitions in the country and the region is just around the corner - the 10th Undergraduate Research Competition (URC)! With 400 scientific research submissions across 19 parallel tracks, presented by research teams from 64 universities representing 14 countries, this competition boasts a distinguished panel of expert judges and offers exciting prizes for the winning teams. Congratulations to Lana Maher Qamhieh, Yazan Hisham Barbar, Hasan Tariq Hamdan, Abdullah Mhd Samer Alsit, Maha Yaghi, Abdalla Said Gad, and Aghyad Belal Al Tahhan, students from the College of Engineering, for securing AED 100,000 to participate in this year's EGA AI Robot 2023 competition organized by Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA). The two teams, supervised by Dr. Mohammed Ghazal, Dr. Mohammed Alkhedher, Eng. Tasnim Basmaji, and Eng. Marah Alhalabi, are developing autonomous robots to measure anode top cover thickness.

نهنئ طلبتنا من كلية الهندسة لانا ماهر قمحية، ويزن هشام بربر، وحسن طارق حمدان، وعبدالله محمد سامر الست، مها ياغي، عبدالله سعيد جاد، أغياد بلال الطحّان بمناسبة حصولهم على 100,000 درهم للمشاركة في مسابقة الروبوتات الصناعية التي تنظمها شركة الإمارات العالمية للألمنيوم لعام 2023. وقد طور الفريقان، بإشراف الدكتور محمد غزال والدكتور محمد الخضر، والمهندسة تسنيم بصمه جي، والمهندسة مرح الحلبي، روبوتات ذاتية التحكم لقياس سمك الغطاء العلوي للأنود.

‎نبارك لطالبتينا ندى حسين ومها ياغي من قسم الهندسة الكهربائية والحاسوبية والطبية والحيوية في كلية الهندسة بمناسبة تلقيهما التكريم لمساهمتهما المتميزة في جائزة الشيخ محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم العالمية للطيران التي تنظمها الهيئة العامة للطيران المدني. وقد طورت الطالبتان، بإشراف الدكتور محمد غزال والدكتور جواد يوسف، والمهندسة تسنيم بصمه جي، والمهندسة مرح الحلبي، مشروعاً بعنوان: الكشف العميق، والتحديد الدقيق للمواقع، والتصنيف متعدد الأنماط للطائرات بدون طيار وأجهزة التحكم، والذي حصل على 36,000 درهم.

Congratulations to Nada Hussein and Maha Yaghi, students from the College of Engineering's Electrical, Computer, and Biomedical Engineering Department, for being recognized for their Outstanding Contribution in the Global Aviation Award of the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum competition organized by the General Civil Aviation Authority. The students, supervised by Dr. Mohammed Ghazal, Dr. Jawad Yousaf, Eng. Tasnim Basmaji, and Eng. Marah Alhalabi, developed a project titled Multimodal Deep Detection, Localization, and Classification of Drone and Controller, for which they received AED 36,000.
