Hysterosalpingo-Foam Sonography (HyFoSy) is a quick, well-tolerated and less painful procedure than HSG for tubal patency testing. HyFoSy is an advanced technique that uses ultrasound to reveal abnormalities of Fallopian tubes or tubal blockage. It uses EXEM gel foam which is a safer alternative, in comparison to the laparoscopy dye test or the traditional hysterosalpingogram (HSG) when testing for tubal patency. Prof. Sanford Markowitz used the discovery of a DNA change to develop a less-intrusive screening test for colon cancer. Prof. Markowitz found a specific DNA change that takes place in colon cancers. From that discovery, he developed a non-intrusive stool test, which even can be done at home, that can detect 80% of colon cancers as well as many pre-cancerous growths.

Sleep apnea is a condition marked by abnormal breathing during sleep. People with sleep apnea have multiple extended pauses in a breath when they sleep. These temporary breathing lapses cause lower-quality sleep and affect the body’s supply of oxygen, leading to potentially serious health consequences.

Because of how it affects oxygen balance in the body, untreated sleep apnea raises dangers for various types of cardiovascular issues including high blood pressure, heart attack, heart disease, and stroke.

Loud snoring—especially when accompanied by daytime sleepiness or fatigue—may be a sign of sleep apnea, a common but serious disorder that impacts breathing.

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is the most common metabolic error with various musculoskeletal
complications; among them, tenosynovitis represents a significant part of the functional-limiting-musculoskeletal lesions in diabetic patients.

Tenosynovitis is one of the major causes of pain and functional limitations in hand with an
incidence of 28 cases per 100 000 and an overall lifetime risk of 2.6%.


Local corticosteroid (CS) injections are frequently used to control pain and inflammation of tenosynovitis and ultrasound (US) could be helpful for the exact needle placement at the site of
the inflamed tendon.
