This week I share 6 oils that are very effective for headaches. They are generally analgesic (numbs pain), anti-inflammatory, and relaxing (calms the nervous system).

I would never buy, nor let my friends buy, essential oils off the shelf or online without knowing what's in the bottle.

Without knowing the source of the essential oils, there is a possibility they might be adulterated. Adulterated oils can lead to unwanted and expensive effects such as skin issues, headaches, and nasal irritation.

Research the essential oil brand online, and check if they share the chemical component list (GC/MS report). Nourishing Bath Salt Recipe

This bath salt is easy to make, all-natural, and smells wonderful. You can customize the essential oils, but ensure they are bath-safe and skin-nourishing. Making it in smaller quantities keeps it fresh.

Ingredients:
1 cup Pink Himalayan salt
1 tablespoon Jojoba oil (or any other carrier oil)
3 drops Lavender essential oil
2 drops Patchouli essential oil
3 drops Cedarwood essential oil
2 drops Roman Chamomile essential oil
Instructions:
Combine the Pink Himalayan salt and jojoba oil.
Add the essential and mix thoroughly.
Transfer the mixture to a glass jar with a tight-fitting lid.
To Use:
Add 1/4 to 1/2 cup of the bath salts to warm bath water.
Stir the water to help dissolve the salts.
Soak in the bath for 20-30 minutes, relax, and enjoy the nourishing benefits of the essential oils.

They can change the odor and color but more importantly, cause skin sensitivity and rushes.

Citrus oils last 1-2 years, while others last 2-3 years.

Always check the expiration date, but best to use it within one year of opening.

Tip: put a sticker with the date opened for tracking. Keep it in a dark bottle, tightly closed away from heat and light.
