We put aside a good amount of time for a thorough consultation and plan.

We then proceeded to hand craft bleach white composite resin to enhance the smile. We finished everything off with a brightening polish to give that long lasting glisten.

We removed the old stuff & cleaned out the tooth decay that had crept underneath cracked fillings meticulously. We then layered our lovely new white composite filling to match the contours and colours of the remaining tooth. 🌟

Invisalign is a hugely popular teeth straightening treatment that uses clear braces to align your teeth discreetly, but how does it work and what can you expect from treatment?

🔹Invisalign is a dental treatment that uses clear braces or aligners to straighten your teeth discreetly. You wear a series of custom fit aligners, each for around 1-2 weeks at a time, to progressively move your teeth to their ideal position. Treatment can take as little as 12 weeks compared to traditional braces which can take years.

🔹The Invisalign process is tailored to you from end to end. You’ll first have a consultation to discuss your ideal smile and treatment goals, as well as explain the treatment process and finance options. You may even find that there are alternative treatments that can get you the smile you want without aligners, such as veneers or composite bonding.

🔹 You’ll wear your aligners for between 20-22 hours a day, taking them off only to clean your teeth and eat and drink. The good thing about Invisalign is that you can eat all the things you have to avoid with traditional braces like nuts and apples.
Every 2-4 weeks you’ll move on to the next set of aligners - they’ll always feel tight at first but this is a sign your teeth are moving!
You’ll also have regular appointments with your dentist every 2-4 weeks to monitor your progress and make any changes necessary to keep your teeth movements on track.
Typically treatment lasts between 3- 9 months.

Have you ever had a Hygiene Visit at your Dentist? 🪥

Regular dental hygiene appointments help prevent gum disease and dental decay by removing plaque and tartar before they lead to disease. Both gum disease and tooth decay are leading causes of tooth loss; your dental hygienist can, therefore, help you hold on to your natural teeth. 🦷

At our practice when you book a hygiene visit you get the following:

1. Check your own current oral hygiene routine
2. Education on the importance of good diet, brushing and interdental cleanings
3. Education on the link to gum disease and heart conditions and diabetes to name a few.
4. Using ultrasonic and hand cleaners to carry out any required cleaning on the teeth and gums. We always offer this with a flavoured numbing gel.
5. Special flavoured polishes and brushes to remove any surface staining.
6. Polishing any existing front white fillings to bring back their lustre.
