It is indeed a blessing to find the one God has created just for you…a person you never knew you needed… so much more than you were praying for … a dream come true… a journey like no other… a heart to hold and cherish .. and with God as the author and true center of a bond so sacred.
A hoop filled with blessings for a sweet couple on their wedding day, commissioned with love by the groom’s sister. So grateful for your trust, am truly humbled.
Embellished with a soft tulle for the bridal veil, ivory pearl beads and delicately embroidered flowers in their wedding colors, this hoop was indeed a heartfelt prayer for you on your wedding day, God bless you both.

It has been a year and a day, that my sweet little sis married the love of her life. Indeed, it is wonderful the bond between two believers… Wishing you darling & a blessed 1st Anniversary, May your love continue to be nourished by God and fill your home and hearts with joys beyond measure. Love you two love birds and miss you so much.

Creating bouquets, corsages and boutonnières has been a passion of mine since my own wedding day, and to be able to create these blessing filled arrangements for my precious Crystal was indeed a joy that I will treasure forever in my heart. These blooms and the intricate art that went into them were my prayer and blessings from over the miles…Forever grateful to our sweet Lord for making it possible and strengthening the bond that we share..

A First Holy Communion Prayer

My Jesus, I believe that you are truly present in the most blessed sacrament.
I love you above all things, and I desire to possess You within my soul.
I believe it because You have said it, and I am ready to give my life to maintain this truth.

Such a blessing to be entrusted to embroider this remembrance hoop for a precious little boy on his First Holy Communion day. Receiving the sacrament of the Holy Eucharist is a sacred moment in the journey of faith of Catholics.

We are indeed soooo loved and blessed by our dear sweet Jesus.. I mean just look at what the saints have to say about the Eucharist…
St. Maximilian Kolbe said, “If angels could be jealous of men, they would be so for one reason: Holy Communion.”
St. Augustine said, “Recognize in this bread what hung on the cross, and in this chalice what flowed from His side.” ….

The process of making a hoop starts with an inspiration..a hand drawn image follows, that is repeatedly erased and modified...then it is carefully transferred to the chosen fabric..after this the delicate embroidery starts.. stitches made and some undone carefully coz it just didn't seem right.. all the while picturing the final work..wondering if it will turn out how it was envisioned or will it turn out differently..probably how it was meant to be...

This Lenten season working on this hoop turned out to be a blessed meditation of sorts.. the soft blue flowers on the fabric, the crown of thorns and the bible verse..it was a beautiful love filled process.. it is still a work in progress though.....seems like it is missing something 🤔 Am open to ideas...😁

LOVE
an all-encompassing word, such a small word yet the greatest of all… It makes the world go round, moves mountains, crosses oceans, cares enough to let go, gives birth, until death does part and so much more….. But who can deny the greatest love of them all, John 3:16, sums it up perfectly.
St. Therese as always articulately guides us to our dear Lord in such a sweet, simple & profound way.

St. Therese has always been my favourite saint and when I came across the absolutely gorgeous St. Valentine’s Day cards on , my heart did a little happy dance when I saw the St. Therese card. I just had to put it in a hoop, it was too cute to resist. I do hope I did the beautiful artwork from justice. By the grace of God, it materialised into a blessing filled gift for a young couple who were joined in Holy Matrimony yesterday. Please do keep them in your prayers.

As part of the beautiful initiative - 14DAYS14WAYS, The Couple Challenge by (Worldwide Marriage Encounter) to celebrate World Marriage Day 2021, we were given the challenge of getting each other a small token of love.

Inspired by this profound chapter in the bible and by the many hearts carved into trees to symbolize a promise of everlasting love, I embarked on my newest embroidery hoop.
It is a simple piece, but it holds the core of my marriage within its tiny stitches – God, Us and the Day we received our Sacrament of Matrimony.

Teachers play such an important role in our lives and their love, kindness and selflessness is something that stays with a child lifelong.

We've all had the teachers who have loved us, nurtured our thoughts, who we still remember fondly, who we wish we could meet again, who have left their mark.

And of course this year has been like no other and the teachers have gone above and beyond..all done with admirable strength, determination and passion.

My 7yr old wanted to give a Christmas present to his 3rd grade teacher. Being a distance learner this year, he hadn't even met her personally. Yet through the numerous zoom meetings, project presentations and activities...he felt her kindness, her love and her genuine joy. I had the honor of turning his love filled drawing into this little embroidery piece..a true labour of love..

We went to school to give her the little present...masks ...social distancing ... the works... the excitement was real..the happiness at meeting his teacher face to face unimaginable..after months of being away..the joy of entering his beloved school... he was one happy little boy..

This is dedicated to all our teachers ...past, present and future...for all that you have done, all that you do and all that you sacrifice to make a difference to little minds and hearts... it means a lot to us parents and we will be forever grateful 🙏 ❤ God bless you.

The making process of this piece was a lesson in patience, faith and love...a heartfelt rendition of our beloved Bom Jesus Basilica... I had flashbacks of walking through this beautiful church and all the spiritual embraces I felt while praying there.. How faithful Jesus always is...

Trying to capture a piece of home in a hoop.

The Basilica of Bom Jesus is an iconic presence in the hearts of all Goans, and is the first in my series. The words are in Konkani and mean "Saint Francis Xavier, Pray for us." Working on this piece was emotionally stirring...it reminded me of home and how much I miss it... Home is always where the heart is...always..
