Congratulations to YAL Member Moataz Kandil, President of Middle East, North Africa & Central Asia, Fortescue Future Industries(FFI), on their recent milestone of signing a framework agreement with the Egyptian Government regarding their potential large-scale green hydrogen project in Egypt at COP 27. The projects have the potential to produce 330 kilotonnes per annum of green hydrogen.

YAL Chairperson Muna Al Gurg was a panel speaker at the London Business School launch event of their Global Forever Forward Campaign under the theme 'Thriving in Times of Disruption’. The campaign aims to double the number of scholarships in its programs to attract the best talent. Topics such as the importance of governance, innovation and diversity within organizations were discussed.
YAL Member Yusr AlOtaibi, Vice-President at AlYusr Holding, recently took part in an interview by برنامج ياهلا - روتانا خليجية where she discussed the role of the Saudi youth delegation in the G20 Youth Summit 2022, which was held in Indonesia this year. The dialogue touched on important axes such as what the G20 Youth Summit is, the four tracks around which the summit revolved around and the most prominent outputs of the year.

YAL Member Kamar Jaffer, Partner at Allen & Overy, was invited to join the A&O Gender Equality Network and the Exchange recently promoted female partners and directors panel event focused on sharing experiences about the route to partnership/directorship, effective sponsorship of female talent and insight into the role. One of the aims of the session was to increase visibility of new female partners and directors as role model(s).
YAL Member Yasmine El-Hini, Country Officer for Egypt at the IFC - International Finance Corporation, was a speaker in the IFC Investopia event, a dialogue on investment opportunities in Egypt and opportunities for UAE-Egypt private sector collaboration. They were joined by H.E. Abdulla Bin Touq, UAE Minister of Economy and Chairman of Investopia, Mr. Mohamed Alzaabi, and 30 Egyptian and Emirati companies.
With the 2022 UN Climate Change Conference (COP27) now up and running, green energy and sustainability are taking center stage in every discussion. Arab Finance interviewed YAL Member Moataz Kandil, President Middle East, North Africa & Central Asia, at Fortescue Future Industries, who met with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi last month to discuss the development of green energy in the region.

In our latest Executive Meetup hosted by H.E. In our latest Power Lunch hosted by YAL and Darwinbox at the Dubai Future Foundation Accelerators (DFF) led by H.E. Khalfan Belhoul, Chief Executive Officer at DFF, members from YAL and the Darwinbox team discussed how digital and Artificial Intelligence (AI) innovation can transform employee experience and efficiency at workplaces across the UAE. The discussion was moderated by YAL Member Fady El Borno, where they discussed the shared vision to define the future in the present through creating world-class innovation platforms for ideas to take shape.
