This week’s festival from New Zealand! It is time for The Bread and Circus World Buskers Festival!

The Bread and Circus World Buskers Festival in Christchurch sounds like an incredible celebration of artistic talent and creativity. The fusion of comedians, musicians, magicians, and performers from around the world creates a vibrant tapestry of entertainment. The city’s transformation into a lively hub of creativity with performances on street corners and stages adds an extra layer of charm.

We credit and pay a small percentage to every photographer and artist. Street performers at the festival then get an opportunity to sell them as merchandise and make a profit. It also raises funds for the Pavmentology project.

The Festival of the week is 💃🏻

Kopje Cultuur is the cultural festival of Steenwijkerland in Netherlands. The festival lasts three days and is a combination of Heritage Day and Street Theater Festival. The disciplines presenting during the festival are (street) theatre, music, literature, cultural heritage, circus, dance and visual arts. The important base of the programme is street theatre.

The festival host not only local and international performers but also regional cultural institutions, choirs, associations, schools groups. The motto of the festival is “spreading happiness”.🫠

Festival of the week is from Canada 👉🏻

The Toronto Buskerfest, also known as the Toronto International Buskerfest for Epilepsy, was an annual street performance festival held in Toronto, Canada. The Festival of the week is in Romania!!

Since 2014, puppets have occupied the streets of Craiova by spreading passion for animation art. Puppets Occupy Streets is the first art animation festival in Romania to only take place in venues made for the public. The festival brings together independent artists and private theatrical companies from Romania and abroad, promoting public-private partnerships.

The festival involves activities taking place in various locations across the city, such as performances, workshops, concerts, exhibitions, video projection, video mapping, fine arts, street animation.

This amazing souvenir calendar has been created through a unique partnership between Dolphin Creative, Pavementology and The Edinburgh Fringe, and helps celebrate the long history of street performing at the Festival. It runs from Fringe to Fringe so you can start using it now! It is full of interesting points about the work, as well as some fantastic pictures from last year’s Festival. The festival of this week is the UK’s longest continually running Outdoor Arts festival — Hat Fair. 👾

Hat Fair was started in 1974 by Jonathan Kay and the festival is inspired by the people, culture, and surroundings of Wi******er. The goal is to shine a light on the city and make the ordinary extraordinary!!! Hat Fair takes its name from the practice of audiences tipping performers by placing money in a hat at the end of a performance. The festival takes place in historic Wi******er at the first weekend in July every year.

This year’s Hat Fair runs from Friday 30 June - Saturday 1 July. Two days of entertainment featuring theatre, dance and circus events!🕺🏻

The Festival of the week is Reuring Festival!

Since 2002, the Reuring Festival, an international summer festival, has been held annually in Purmerend at the start of the summer vacation. There are many indoor and outdoor stages at various places across the city. The heart of the festival is the Leeghwaterpark. During this multi-day event, tens of thousands of attendees take in huge street theatre productions as well as live music performances.

With dance, live music, street theatre and spectacular performances by artists from all over the world, the Reuring Festival offers wonderful moments for everyone.
