In the CubeSat challenge, students are taught how to build a satellite. Their satellite is then launched to space in a high-altitude balloon and they can track the data from the satellite. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the students.

Key points
• CubeSat Program is designed and led by expert educators, Scientists and Astronauts!
• In teams, students aged 12 to 15 will work together to innovate and design their own CubeSats from which the best will actually be launched to the edge of space.
• All refreshments, lunches and materials are included, however, transportation to the venue is not included.

Peter Ferris is a 2017 finalist from the UK of the Varkey Foundation’s one-million-dollar Global Teacher Prize – selected from over 20,000 applicants from 179 countries. He’s also an actor, entrepreneur, and a film and TV producer.
