Wellbeing Wednesday@ ASD
The teaching profession is deeply rewarding, yet it can also be highly demanding. Teachers often balance a rigorous curriculum, meet diverse student needs, and face increasing accountability pressures. To ensure teachers have the resources and support to thrive, ASD ensures a regular wellbeing session for them captioned ‘For the Thriving Minds.’ The Program aims at fostering resilience, promoting mental and physical health, and creating a supportive environment. However, this month’s session on wellbeing was a double bonanza, coupling with Diwali celebrations. Teachers were found in heights of joyous mood, adorned in traditional attire and eagerly participating in the many creative activities to work on the agility of mind and body. From beautiful tealight painting to Rangoli Art, from Karaoke Singing to energetic dances, the teachers made their day a memorable one. Such programs reflect ASD’s commitment to creating a nurturing environment for all. By investing in teachers' health, happiness, and professional growth, ASD not only enhance teacher performance and retention but also create a positive impact on student outcomes, fostering a holistic, supportive, and thriving educational community

Science ‘Inquiry’ Oasis – ‘Inspiring’ students to ‘Innovate’
Today, Grade 11 students took on the role of science mentors, guiding middle school students through an engaging activity centered on the science behind oral care! As part of the “Science Inquiry Oasis” event, the seniors led the younger students through hands-on experiments and discussions, exploring the science that affects our daily routine of brushing.
The session began with a lively demonstration and discussion on key questions which led to tests and experiments on effects of acids on teeth, also evaluating the impacts of toothpaste on teeth. Our students also made comparative evaluation between fluoride and herbal brands and many more such experiments to fulfill their search for the many queries that arise in their minds. The brainstorming sessions around these questions sparked the curiosity of young minds and highlighted the inquiring nature of science, making it an enlightening experience for all involved. Through this interactive approach, the middle school students not only gained knowledge but were inspired to explore the science in everyday habits. Stay tuned for more such exciting events that bring science to life at Ambassador School
Parent Reading Circle @ ASD
“Reading should not be presented to children as a chore, a duty. It should be offered as a gift.” –Kate DiCamillo
The weekly visits of Parents at ASD is a unique way to inculcate reading in our students. For developing language skills and increasing comprehension abilities, there is no better route than reading to develop in children as early as possible. When children watch their elders reading, they too follow the same and they soon get attracted to the magic of books. With the invasion of digital technology in our lives, the present times see a withering of this beautiful habit, but remember at some point of time story-telling was an art most often excelled by the grandparents and they had the children fly on the wings of imagination. Thus let us join hands and continue with the much loved art by one and all, be we as parents, teachers, friends or grandparents and have our children be well erudite and be in love with reading.
‘The most wondrous aspect of Mathematics is that the magic never ends; you solve one and it leads you to the next!’
‘Mathmagic’ is one such program at ASD, where students are exposed to the different facets of Mathematics. Students are thus given a taste of the many areas and arenas of Mathematics, each in its own way requires patience, passion, reasoning and high levels of critical thinking. The more students are led to this whirlpool, greater are their abilities to master the subject. This October saw the Math Quiz competition under ‘Mathmagic’ for Grades 3, 4, and 5, an ongoing effort to foster love for mathematics and the thrills of solving the numerous challenges. The quiz featured various rounds tailored to each grade level, where students demonstrated remarkable teamwork, quick thinking, and resilience. The high level of enthusiasm and participation across the mentioned grades says it all about students finding the program extremely inviting and enjoyable, gaining deeper understanding and higher confidence in the subject. ASD students and faculty work as team, each party working towards the ultimate fulfillment in the teaching-learning process

30x30 Fitness Challenge@ ASD
Looking for a fun way to stay fit, de-stress, and boost your energy? Zumba could be your new best friend! And on that inviting note, our Day 2 of Dubai Fitness Challenge 30x30 brought out our students of Grades 7 and 8 from their respective classrooms, today. An invigorating music playing at the backdrop, our Zumba instructor at Ms. Manuja energetically made every student to stretch and bend, skip and hop, no matter how their bones and muscles would have initially protested. And at the end of the session, we had a bunch of happy and stress-free students who kept aside their exam tensions and de-cluttered their minds. The full body work out definitely had made them feel their improved flexibility and agility, while the exercise had also worked on their concentration, much required during lessons. Together with friends, the Zumba in the morning fitness session is a good time to spend for a great cause, named self-care.

“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, what are you doing for others?” – Martin Luther King, Jr.
As part of growing up in and growing with Ambassador School Dubai, every student is encouraged to take up community services. Be it clean up drives or recycling campaign, tree-plantation or charity drives, ASDians have made their presence felt with utmost eagerness and joy.
This year a team of ASD artists along with the faculty of the Fine Arts Department took up an unusual and very creative pursuit for a club meant for Dubai’s blue-collared workers. Our talented students took their creativity beyond the classroom to beautify the community through vibrant wall paintings! From colorful murals to meaningful messages, they’ve turned the ordinary walls into inspiring canvases that tell stories, spark conversations, and bring people together. Such is the impact of the work done by them, which not only brightened up the club but also made them realize the value of teamwork, dedication, and the power of art to make a difference.
A huge shout out to everyone involved! Let’s keep making our world a more beautiful place, one wall at a time!
“Slumber Party is all about chasing the sunset, welcoming the twilight and creating memories of a lifetime with friends, all under the starlit autumn sky, around the warm and bright campfire.”
On 25 October 2024, the students of Grade 5 had their much awaited Slumber Party
It was a fun-filled day with plenty of games that also included a Bouncy Castle and the campfire, another exciting feature which enhanced the vibrant mood further. The students danced to songs, had a tantalizing chaat party and a scrumptious dinner. The students were reminded of the ‘zero wastage of food’ policy. Movie time with popcorn followed, before winding up for the night. The invigorating Zumba session and Yoga the following morning helped to continue to remind our students the importance of healthy mind and body.
The Slumber Party was another opportunity to inculcate values and abilities such as tolerance and independence and building team spirit and cooperation through the games organized. The times spent together helped in forging the bonds between students and teachers.
The beaming expression on our students faces speak volumes of the fun they had and a day well spent. Together, we continue to create unforgettable and wonderful memories, at Ambassador School!

' Stars of the Week'😊⭐️🌟✨
Teach a child to read and keep that child reading [and talking] and we will change everything.
And I mean everything. - Jeanette Winterson
A workshop for grade 1 parents was held to introduce the comprehensive reading program (Read Write Inc.) The session opened with a thoughtful quote underscoring the importance of teaching a child to read and its life-changing impact. This quote set the tone for an insightful session aimed at fostering strong reading foundations and lifelong literacy.
The workshop covered various aspects of the program, beginning with its purpose: to help children become fluent readers and cultivate a love for reading. Parents were introduced to curriculum expectations, which aim not only to build reading fluency but also to strengthen comprehension skills, ensuring that children are able to understand, interpret, and enjoy what they read. Moreover, the program is designed to develop students into excellent writers by encouraging expressive, clear, and creative language use.
Emphasis was placed on the active role of the grade 1 child; whose curiosity and engagement are central to their success in the program. Parents were also encouraged to support their children’s journey at home, as this partnership is key to maximizing the program's impact. The workshop concluded with reassured and enthusiastic parents, confident that their children are on a path to becoming fluent readers, skilled in comprehension, and equipped to become excellent writers.
STREAM integrated learning@ ASD
Sound Pollution Alert Machine
In the recent open-ended challenge, students of grade 1 embarked on the task of building a sound pollution alert machine designed to detect noise levels. Once they gathered their materials, students constructed the alert machine, integrating a sound sensor that would trigger a buzzer when noise levels exceeded a certain threshold.
To enhance the project, they also added a motorized component that activated in response to the sound sensor's detection. This motorized mechanism provided a visual element, demonstrating the machine's reaction to high noise levels.
By the end of the project, they had successfully created a functional prototype that could help alert people to excessive noise, and they also showcased an engaging moving element, thereby solidifying their understanding of the interplay between sensors, motors, and programming in their designs.
My Green Environment is My Future
On October 24th, Ambassador School Dubai proudly launched the "My Green Environment is My Future" program, a unique initiative under the government of Sharjah and KHDA partner activities, aimed at empowering middle school students to engage in eco-friendly practices.
The event commenced in the school library with class 6D leading the way. The program began with a hands-on session, where students enthusiastically crafted paper bags, each contributing to sustainable practices by making at least one bag. These handmade paper bags were donated to the school canteen and to the nearby grocery, reinforcing a spirit of community responsibility among students.
Following this, the students of 6D gathered for a plantation ceremony, led by Dr. Sheela Menon, Principal of ASD, symbolizing their commitment to nurturing a greener future.
The event was a resounding success, marking the beginning of a transformative program ‘My Green Environment is My Future’ yet another way to be responsible towards environmental stewardship that will continue until January 22, 2025. Stay tuned for more updates as our students take proactive steps for a sustainable future!
