These simple yet powerful practices have been game-changers for my digestion and overall well-being. Start your day with intention and watch the transformation! My morning routine is sacred, not just for my overall well-being but especially for my digestion. Here are three practices that I swear by 1. Oil Pulling : I start my day with oil pulling using cold-pressed coconut oil infused with mint. This ancient Ayurvedic practice is a natural detoxifier, helping to draw out toxins from the mouth and body. It also supports digestion by promoting better oral health, which is closely connected to gut health. The fresh mint adds a cooling effect, but you can use any good quality, cold-pressed coconut oil. 2.Tongue Scraping with a Copper Tongue Scraper : After oil pulling, I use a copper tongue scraper to remove toxins and bacteria that accumulate on the tongue overnight. This practice not only freshens the breath but also stimulates digestion by enhancing the taste receptors and promoting healthier oral hygiene. Copper, with its natural antimicrobial properties, has been my go-to for years. 3. Daily Dry Brushing : in Ayurveda it’s called Garshana, the Ayurvedic practice of dry brushing. This invigorating ritual stimulates lymphatic drainage, exfoliates the skin, and improves circulation. It’s fantastic for digestion as it helps the body eliminate toxins more efficiently, giving you that natural glow from within. What are your non-negotiables ?

This simple stretch increases blood circulation, bringing vital nutrients to your skin while releasing stress from your facial muscles. As we age, our facial muscles tend to contract, but this stretch helps open everything up. Try this daily to keep your face looking fresh and youthful!

Face yoga and face massage are powerful tools in reducing the appearance of a double chin because they work by toning and strengthening the muscles in the neck, jawline, and face. These techniques stimulate blood circulation and lymphatic drainage, which helps to reduce puffiness and eliminate excess fluid retention that can contribute to the appearance of a double chin. By regularly engaging in specific exercises and massage movements, you can firm and lift the skin, creating a more defined and sculpted jawline. Remember consistency is key.

By slowing down and breaking down your food properly, you improve digestion and nutrient absorption, giving your skin the essential vitamins and minerals it needs to glow from within.2. Mindful BreathingStress wreaks havoc on your skin, but mindful breathing can help! Deep, intentional breaths reduce stress, lower cortisol levels, and improve circulation, all of which lead to a calmer, clearer, and more radiant complexion. Take a moment to breathe deeply—your skin will thank you.3. Practice Gratitude JournalingMindset is everything, a daily gratitude practice isn’t just good for your soul—it’s great for your skin too! By lowering stress and reducing cortisol, gratitude journaling helps prevent breakouts and premature aging. A positive mindset reflects in a healthier, more vibrant complexion.

Welcome to all my new followers! ❤️❤️I’m so thrilled to have you here. For those who don’t know me yet, here’s a bit of my story.I’ve been on Instagram and Facebook for a while now, but my journey began long before that. I spent nearly 15 years in the television industry, running my own production company , producing and anchoring multiple shows in Dubai and the Middle East. . It was a glamorous life, but eventually, I hit burnout—though I didn’t realize it at the time.During this challenging period, I turned to self-care and wellness practices , starting with breathwork and meditation. I focused on nutrition and began incorporating small self-rituals into my daily routine. Within six months, I saw a profound transformation in my life. This sparked my passion for holistic well-being. As I continued with my show on YouTube The Uma Show, I studied further, and became a certified health coach, and began helping women, many of whom were struggling with skin issues. My interest in skin healing led me deeper into holistic beauty modalities—facial yoga, facial massage, facial reflexology, and facial cupping and many more. While coaching, I also started offering therapies, which eventually led me to launch online courses in 2019, taking my work global. In 2021, I partnered with a business partner and launched Pro Age Aesthetics Academy. Today, I’m a full-time holistic beauty advocate, educator, and entrepreneur, and I absolutely love what I do.My intention with this page is to share my knowledge on self-care rituals, overall well-being, nutrition, and my belief that beauty is an extension of our well-being. I’m here to help you redefine beauty for yourself.Thank you for being here with me on this journey! 💖Tell me more about you…

1. Letting Go of Expectations- I embrace the idea that healthy skin doesn’t have to look a certain way. My skin, with all its uniqueness, is healthy as long as it feels good to me. Spots, marks, and imperfections are a part of its character. 2. Nervous System Regulation-A regulated nervous system is key to glowing skin. I focus on breathwork, meditation, and daily movement to keep my body and mind balanced. When I take care of my inner world, my skin reflects that peace. 3. Mindful Product Choices-Instead of getting overwhelmed by the latest skincare trends, I choose products based on my skin’s current needs. It’s not about the price tag or popularity, but about what genuinely works for my skin. 4. Unique Journey-I celebrate my skin’s journey without comparing it to others. My skin tells my unique story, and I wear it with pride. My experiences and life stories make my skin what it is, and I honor that. Remember, healthy skin is not spotless—it’s about feeling good in your own skin. 💕

4 myths and hard truth about skincare

5 Practices keeping me energetic as I turned 50 last year.

1. Boosts Circulation- Gentle massage techniques help increase blood flow to the under-eye area, reducing the appearance of dark circles.2. Lymphatic Drainage- Massaging around the eyes stimulates lymphatic drainage, which helps remove toxins and reduce fluid stagnation. This can lead to a significant reduction in puffiness and dark circles.3. Opens Up the Eyes- Regular massage can help relax the muscles around your eyes, making them look more open and less tired.4. Promotes Skin Health- Enhanced blood circulation ensures that more nutrients and oxygen are delivered to your skin, promoting a brighter and healthier complexion.

Did you know that TMJ issues or pain in the masseter area can significantly impact how your face ages? This tension and stagnation can create fine lines and wrinkles, affecting your overall appearance. High stress levels, holding onto unprocessed emotions, and even grinding your teeth can all contribute to this problem. But don’t worry, there are ways to release this stress and tension to improve your facial structure and promote a youthful look! Here are a few tips:1. Regular Facial Massage-Gently massage your jawline and cheeks to relieve tension. This helps in increasing blood circulation and relaxing the muscles. 2. Breathwork-Deep breathing exercises can reduce overall stress levels, which in turn helps in relaxing the facial muscles.3. Jaw Exercises-Simple jaw exercises can help in reducing stiffness and improving mobility.4. Stress Management-Incorporate mindfulness practices like meditation or yoga to manage stress effectively.Remember, taking care of your facial muscles is just as important as any skincare routine. Let go of the tension and watch your face transform!

So what can you change your look and feel fresh, energized and youthful? One thing at a time is always my mantra.

If you’re short on time but still want to practice Face Yoga, here are two quick moves you can do daily to stretch your entire face. “First, make a big ‘O’ with your mouth. This stretches your cheeks, jawline, and neck.” “Next, place your tongue between your teeth and upper lip, then look up. This stretches your chest, neck, and face. Tilt your head side to side for an extra stretch.” “Do these moves for just one minute every day and feel the difference! See you next time!”
