In a significant step toward reinforcing the UAE's position as a hub for the financial and knowledge economic, the Executive Advisory Committee for the Actuarial Science Bachelor's Program convened. The committee included H.E. Saif Al Dhaheri, Assistant Governor of the Central Bank for Banking Operations and Support Services, and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Institute of Finance; Mr. Juma Al Rumaithi, Director of the Scholarships Office under the Presidential Court; and H.E. Noura Alblooshi, General manager of Emirates Institute of Finance, along with representatives from 9 public and private universities. Together, they aligned their vision and determined the implementation mechanisms for the Bachelor of Actuarial Science program, led by the Central Bank of the UAE, the Scholarship Office- Presidential Court and the Emirates Institute of Finance.

The program aims to develop a qualified national workforce in the field of actuarial sciences, a critical specialization for risk management and assessment in the financial and insurance sectors. This initiative will support the UAE's strategy to advance the financial sector and enhance its global competitiveness.

University leaders at the meeting emphasized the importance of this program in addressing the current gap in the UAE labor market for actuarial specialists. They noted that the program will be based on the latest global curricula and will provide students with practical training opportunities at leading financial institutions in the country.
