Let's talk about parts of speech:
Let me start by what are parts of speech and their types are in the English language.
Parts of speech:
The word parts of speech is composed of two words 1: parts 2: speech, and they have separate meanings.
1 parts = mean "sections, or portions"
2: speech = means "saying or quotation"
Definition of parts of speech: Division of words into types according to their use in grammar is called parts of speech.
Note: we have nine parts of speech in the English language such as; Noun, pronoun, determiners, Adjective, Verb, Adverb, Preposition, conjunction, interjection.
Fear of heights is called "Acrophobia" ("AK" + "ruh" + "FOH" + "bee" + "uh")
Let's talk about parts of sentence.
A sentence has three parts:
1: subject: is the person, place, or thing that we talk about is called subject.
Ex: Ali is a boy.
Note: in the above sentence we talk about the "Ali" that he is a boy.
2: Predicate: what comes after subject, and gives information about it is called predicate.
Ex: Ali is a boy.
Note: "is a boy" these words are used after subject, and gives details about the subject, that ( Ali is a boy).
3: complement: What comes after main verb, and completes the meaning of the sentence.
Ex: Ali studies English.
Note: the word "English" is a complement, because it is used after main verb, and it also completes the meaning of the sentence.

Let's talk about tense:
Origin of tense: The word tense is deprived from old Greek "tempus" which means "time or era".
Definition: tense is a grammatical term which indicates what we did in the past, what we are doing in the present, and what we will do in the future.
E.g: she came to the class yesterday.
(What we did in the past)
You are listening to the song.
( What we are doing in the present)
I will go to school tomorrow.
(What we will do in the future)

What is subject?
Subject is a word or group of words that normally comes before main verb which represents a person, place, or thing that performs the action of the sentence, or about something is stated is called subject.
OR: the person or thing the we talk about is called subject.
Ex: Ali was in Kabul. ( Ali is the subject of the sentence, because the sentence talks about Ali. When a sentence talks about something it the subject of the sentence).
Ex: My father came late last night. ( my father is the subject of the sentence. As we said in the above definition that subject is a word or group of words, now in this sentence the subject is a group of words, but in the above sentence subject is one word.
Note: subject can be one word or more than one word, like we say in the examples.

1. according to grammar: tense is a grammatical term that indicates that what we did in the past,, and what we are doing in the present, and what we will do in the future.
2. according to dictionary tense has three meanings:
a. tense as a (noun) means (time or era)
b. tense as a ( verb) means ( to make somebody upset)
c. tense as an (adjective) means ( upset or unhappy)
