Our main goal is to support different generations of artists from different genres who work in a context of contemporaneity and interdisciplinarity. These residencies will be granted for projects with the purpose to create and present a piece that is almost in the end-period of creation and will be presented, as a preview.

Space of creation and presentation is the studio SILK KLISCOPE:
Linz, Glimpfingerstr.8, 4020 Linz, Austria

// SILK KLISCOPE - interdisciplinary place for dance and art, we offer you a stage, equipped with lighting and sound system, for your artistic work in the fields of dance, performance, visual arts, photography, film, etc..

The aim is to promote not only the international scene but also the local independent scene. Hereby we give advantage to concepts with a hip hop-contemporary background.

Therefore, we award 2 residencies – one international and one national - in a period from end of the year 2023 and beginning of 2024:

The international residence contains for the artists:
- 3 weeks studio time (max. 6h per day)
- accommodation for 2 people
- mentoring of the development process if requested
- a production support if agreed
- travel allowance up to 400 euros
- a production fee of 1500 euros
- at the end a preview at KLISCOPE
- format for one workshop or one lecture for the local scene

The national residence contains for the artists:
- 2 weeks studio time (max. 6h per day)

- travel allowance up to 100 euros
- a production fee of 1500 euros
- at the end a preview at KLISCOPE

// APPLICATION & SELECTION
To submit your application for the SILK KLISCOPE residence, please send the following requested material till 15th of September to: [email protected]

❏ Artistic project for which you are submitting your application and possible video footage of any possible previous steps
❏ CV of the artist submitting the participation application
❏ CV of all artists involved
❏ Link to at least one previous work (both promo and full video)

SILK KLISCOPE will give notice of the selection by the 06th of October 2023.
Selected artists need to confirm their participation by the 13th of October 2022.

// RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SELECTED
The chosen artists in residence at SILK KLISCOPE:

1.) Guarantee the realisation of complementary activities by scheduling dates and establishing ways to carry out activities with the appointed personnel and in a timely manner.

2.) Confirm that they can create their project with the technical equipment provided by SILK KLIScope. Any extra technical material will be not covered and is to be paid for by the selected artist. The data sheet can be sent on request.

3.) Provide all useful material to promotion and distribution of the project, the works and the complementary activities (photos, videos, texts, etc.)

4.) Provide all documents required to carry out the procedures aimed at the realisation of the activity to the administrative office in advance.

5.) Guarantee the maintenance of the spaces during the time of stay, acting as guarantor for all their staff, making sure that rehearsal room, office and residence room and all the areas available for use, are left tidy, with attention to closing all doors and windows, to turning off the lighting and that all equipment is picked up at the end of the session.

Was wir machen und wer wir sind?


SILK Fluegge ist ein Künstler:innen-Kollektiv für urbanen zeitgenössischen Tanz und Kunst – angesiedelt im KLISCOPE in Linz. Das künstlerische Schaffen des Kollektivs beinhaltet Aufführungen in Theatern, Interventionen im musealen und öffentlichen Raum, und Kunst-/Kulturvermittlung. Der Fokus liegt auf Projekten im Bereich urbaner und zeitgenössischer Tanz- und Kunstformen, mit besonderem Augenmerk auf die Jugendförderung. Neben dem künstlerischen Schaffen verfügt SILK Fluegge über einen Aufführungs- und Proberaum – das KLISCOPE.

Werde Teil eines dynamischen, internationalen Teams unterschiedlichster Herkunft. Das Kernteam besteht aus 6 Personen, der Rest des Teams variiert von Projekt zu Projekt.

Produktion und internationales Touring von urban zeitgenössischen Tanzperformances. Die Kuration eines interdisziplinären Raums, dem KLISCOPE, in dem unterschiedliche Künstler:innen Research betreiben, performen oder ihre Werke ausstellen können.


//Deine Mission

Kommunikationsstelle aller Veranstaltungen, Aktivitäten und Projekte von SILK Fluegge, SILK Cie. und SILK KLISCOPE. Ausgeprägte kommunikative Skills, Begeisterungs- und Überzeugungsfähigkeit. Unterstützung des Teams, insbesondere bei Eigenveranstaltungen im eigenen Veranstaltungsraum SILK KLISCOPE.


Zu deinen wichtigsten Aufgaben gehören:

- Erstellung des Newsletters und Newsletter Kontaktpflege
- Pressearbeit/Kommunikation mit Journalist:innen
- Erstellung des Pressespiegels
- Öffentlichkeitsarbeit, Veranstaltungskalender
- Aufbereitung von Bewerbungsmaterialien (Text, Bild – und Tonmaterial) /Drucksorten und Bereitstellung für die Graphik
- Betreuung der Social-Media-Kanäle
- Websitepflege
- Promotion aller Veranstaltungen und Aktivitäten von SILK Fluegge, SILK Cie. und SILK KLISCOPE
- Korrektorats- und (optional Lektoratsarbeit) von Textsorten

- Kontakt zu externen Stakeholdern, z.B. Kooperationspartner:innen, Häuser, Festivals, etc..
- Koordination der Termine der Künstlerischen Leitung bzgl. externer Kommunikation
- Vernetzung mit anderen Kunst-und Kulturinstitutionen

- Unterstützung der Produktion bei der Präproduktion
- Postproduktion (Zusammenstellung vom Bewerbungsmaterial jedes Projektes/jeder Performance) Archivierung jeglicher Druck-/Text-/Bild- oder Tonsorten
- Bereitstellung der Postproduktion für Touring
- Back-Office Tätigkeit
- Unterstützung des Teams bei Eigenveranstaltungen


//Dein Profil:

- Erfahrung mit Presse-/Social Media- oder Öffentlichkeitsarbeit im Kunst- und Kultursektor
- Einschlägiges Studium in Kommunikations-, Geistes-, Kultur- oder Sozialwissenschaften o.Ä.
- Erfahrung im Management/Organisatorisches Talent
- Starke Kommunikations- und Soft-Skills
- Sehr gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift (weitere Sprachen von Vorteil)
- Graphische Kenntnisse von Vorteil
- Sehr gute IT-Kenntnisse insbesondere MS Office
- Interesse für Performance, Tanz, Kunst und Theater
- Eigenverantwortliches und zuverlässiges Arbeiten
