・・・
Metamorphosis of both the body and the land are running themes across contemporary art—and were certainly reflected in the main exhibition of the 59th Venice Biennale, “The Milk of Dreams,” curated by Cecilia Alemani. The national pavilions this year echo some of the same wonderful concepts and histories, delving into the possibilities of our world and ourselves following the global pandemic and in the midst of mounting climate catastrophes. At the link in our bio, we share 10 of the more engaging and mesmerizing pavilions across the Arsenale, the Giardini, and off-site locations at the Biennale this year.

R E V I E W

Check out Ramona Heinlein‘s (Ramona Heinlein]) review of Laurence Sturla‘s () exhibition at GIANNI MANHATTAN () — Through Tongue and Soil.

,Sturla combines the cool precision of the technical-machinic with organic windings that seem to have still stored the warmth of the shaping hand and radiate an astonishing immediacy. In contrast, supposedly unworked areas of material clumps seem to have grown naturally. In their slithery formlessness they have something miserable, almost tragic about them and at the same time evoke a raw energy.’
