PIETÀ 2.0 – A Reflection on Humanity’s Ascent
Last week, our Pietà 2.0 performance premiered in Torino, Italy, receiving great applause and positive reactions from the audience. Their responses confirmed that we successfully conveyed the depth, emotional intensity, and message we aimed for. We are very pleased with this wonderful beginning and deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to making this project a reality.

The official premiere will take place in Sofia, Bulgaria, in January 2025, and until then, we will continue our preparations in every aspect.

A Deeper Reflection
In today’s fast-paced and shallow existence, we find ourselves lost. We recklessly consume not only the physical reality we live in but also the invisible, infinite reality beyond. Driven by an insatiable desire to possess, we pe*****te both realms without understanding the consequences. Despite knowing that these primitive instincts do not lead us forward, we continue to inflate ourselves, much like a balloon, believing that physical growth—measured in speed, size, or numbers—is equivalent to transformation. But this is merely an expanded version of a life where the few exploit the many. It is a form of existence that leads to exhaustion.

Over the centuries, instead of nurturing future generations, we have allowed neglect to grow, bringing us to this point of crisis.

However, I believe that true transformation will come when we abandon these destructive behaviors and embrace a life where knowledge and resources are shared fairly, where love and care are offered without judgment or expectation, and where both bodies and souls can be free. Humanity has the potential to remember this truth and change its course. It is with this belief that we strive to fulfill our artistic responsibility through Pietà 2.0, hoping to contribute to humanity’s ascent.

I’m happy to share that my final summer retreat at the Music Village Festival in Volos, Greece, is now fully booked! 🌿

From September 2nd to 8th, we’ll dive into a journey of self-discovery and personal growth through whirling. This retreat will blend spiritual insight, scientific understanding, and practical guidance in a way that’s both meaningful and accessible.

I am overjoyed and profoundly grateful for the incredible experience at the advanced Master Class workshop from June 2nd to June 4th at ToploCentrala, Sofia, Bulgaria. Working with such dedicated and talented students was truly an honor.

The journey through Dervish in Progress (DIP) was enriched by the vibrant energy and enthusiasm each participant brought. The balance between leading and following in 'Dervish Tango,' the expressive use of skirts in 'Exploring the Skirts,' and the captivating storytelling in 'Performing DIP' were all highlights of our time together.

Seeing the students grow and elevate their whirling dance skills was deeply fulfilling. To my students, thank you for your dedication and passion. You have not only enhanced your own understanding of DIP but also enriched my journey as a teacher.
