🎉 On September 21, 2024, Polimaster, Inc. celebrates 20 years of innovation, during which time the company has played a vital role in international projects and partnerships focused on enhancing global nuclear security. Since launching its operations in the United States Polimaster, Inc. has sold a total of over 200,000 units to 500 government, commercial, and private customers, was awarded various contracts under the Department of Defense Joint Enterprise Research, Development, Acquisition, and Production/Procurement (DOD JE-RDAP) Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) program, the Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) Securing the Cities (STC) initiative, successfully aligned its operations with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) requirements, entered into strategic partnerships, registering multiple patents.

🏆 In 2022, Polimaster successfully aligned its operations with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) requirements, marking a significant milestone and joining the “club” of proactive Government contractors boldly pioneering the new important area of cybersecurity compliance. This achievement is particularly noteworthy as Polimaster became one the first small businesses in the national Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosive (CBRNE) industry to do so. Polimaster is also very thankful to our partner GENEDGE, the Virginia affiliate of the National Institute of Standards and Technology Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NIST-MEP) federal program, for their support and guidance provided during our CMMC compliance project implementation.

This initiative, managed by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), is vital for ensuring radiation safety in major U.S. cities. The program aims to mitigate the risk of a radiological or nuclear terrorist attack on metropolitan areas by establishing sustainable capabilities within Global Nuclear Detection Architecture partner agencies. 🎬 Here is another fun fact about Polimaster for our dedicated followers. In 2020, the creators of “Bosch”, an American detective fiction drama series on Amazon Prime about investigations led by LAPD detective Harry Bosch, contacted Polimaster and asked for a radiation detector for an upcoming episode. The plot involved a stolen radioactive source intended for a dirty bomb in Los Angeles. The storyline followed two detectives investigating a murder, with the stolen Cesium source falling into the wrong hands. The lead detective used a personal radiation detector to protect himself from harmful radiation while searching for the source and the culprit.
🎥 As a result, the show’s creators sought our flagship Personal Radiation Detector (PRD) PM1703MO-IIBT as a prop for the scene in Season 6. Law enforcement widely uses this device to detect radiation, measure its intensity, and ensure safety by alerting users to hazardous levels. After receiving the invitation from the Bosch team, Polimaster sent our Radiation Safety Officer, Alfred Cenon, to Los Angeles to demonstrate the PRD’s functionality to the property master, producers, and director on the set of “Bosch”. To this day Polimaster team keeps enjoying Alfred’s “Hollywood experience” stories as well as we love seeing our stellar PRD “co-starring” in the show.

🚀2011 was a year of deep compassion at Polimaster. In the aftermath of the devastating earthquake and tsunami in Japan, within the first weeks after the Fukushima nuclear accident, Polimaster shipped our radiation monitoring instruments to Japan as a charity. This mission was joined by Governor Pat Quinn of Illinois who led a statewide effort, including the donation of 2,000 Polimaster Personal Radiation Detectors to Japan. These devices were part of a comprehensive aid package, supporting Japan's critical need for radiation monitoring around the damaged Fukushima nuclear plant. Our technology played a small but meaningful part in a larger act of solidarity and support from the American people to our friends in Japan during their trying times.
