Another edition representative of the diversity and beauty of Baroque music. ✨
Bayreuth Baroque came to a conclusion this Sunday after 10 days of stunning performances at beautiful venues in the city of Bayreuth.

Well done to our artistic director Max Emanuel Cencic for his work throughout the year, and to the team who makes this festival such an exceptional event (which had the honor of being named best festival at the Oper Awards earlier this year ⚡️).

Daniel Behle - Tenor celebrates Bruckner. 🥳

The star tenor goes on tour in September for a concert series of Bruckner’s TE DEUM alongside SWR Vokalensemble, WDR Rundfunkchor and SWR Symphonieorchester under the musical direction of Pablo Heras-Casado.

👑 Orlando Furioso at Bayreuth Baroque Opera Festival 👑

Countertenor Yuriy Mynenko returns to Bayreuth Baroque Festival in Vivaldi’s ORLANDO FURIOSO, on September 10 and 11 in the title-Role.
This production is a cooperation with Teatro Comunale di Ferrara and Fondazione Teatro Comunale di Modena.
For the Bayreuth edition, Sonja Runje, contralto joins the cast as Bradamante.
This Opera is staged by Marco Bellussi. The musical direction is entrusted by Francesco Corti with Ensemble Il Pomo d'Oro and Coro dell'Accademia del Santo Spirito.

A new role for Ray Chenez, Countertenor 🎩

When singing in productions of "Guilio Cesare", our countertenor plays Ninero’s part, but for the first time, on July 31, he embodied Sesto's role. What a great honor to make his debut in this role at Glyndebourne, where as they say, there is no ordinary opera.

July was fantastic—now let's see what August has in store! ⚡️

I'm hitting the road again with a performance at Alden Biesen Castle in Belgium on August 3rd. Almost a year after my concert at Bayreuth Baroque, I'll be reunited with the nuovo barocco orchestra conducted by Dimitris Karakantas, who also plays the violin 🎻

After that, I’ll be performing at two festivals in France with Les Accents / Thibault Noally. On August 22nd, I'll be at the Rencontres musicales de Vézelay, followed by a performance at the Festival de Rocamadour on August 24th, in the stunning Basilique Saint-Sauveur, alongside countertenor Paul Figuier.

“A special artistic experience was the performance of countertenor Franko Klisović. The experience could be summed up in a nutshell - what an act, what a stage movement, what a voice! The diabolical creature, which some will see as Mephistopheles, some as Voldemort, some as the devilish character from "The Passion", apart from the silent chills in the viewer and listener due to Klisović's inspired performance, must cause admiration. In itself, the exotic countertenor in a voice performance full of appropriate mimicry and acting expressiveness will be remembered as the perfect solution for a cantata that over time jumped from naturalism to surrealism. His conducting of the choir members, human statues who at one moment fall under the pleasures of hedonism ("Whether it was a king or a pope - everyone will drink to the bone"), and at another moment rise because of moral principles, is one of the most brilliant acting moments of the performance.”
