Do you have a favorite animal?

Why is it your favorite? What does it represent to you?

Personally, I would say that my favorite animal -- at the moment -- is a dolphin 🐬. Dolphins are at home in the water (representing emotions) and dive to deep depths. They always need to connect with the air (their intellect) in order to survive.

They are playful and smart, family-oriented and social. Also, they protect beings that are out of their element.

The Nine of Pentacles was stalking me today.

When I see the 9 of Pentacles in a reading, I think of financial independence, success, self-confidence, and groundedness.

The other day, I doing research for a presentation I was giving for my Train the Trainer course assignment.

The presentation has to be 40 minutes. In German. No notes. 😱😱😱 (Feel the fear and do it anyway, right?)

So many limiting beliefs popped up for me since I started these courses:

😟 OMG. It's all in German and I don't understand half of what's going on!
😟 I'm too old for this
😟 I have so much to do - will I have time to study
😟 What if it's so hard that I quit halfway through and waste the money I paid?

My presentation was about the Slight of Mouth method from one of the foremost contributors to NLP, Robert Dilts. Basically, in this method, you examine and dissect a person's limiting thoughts and use a variety of different methods to reframe and shift the thought so it's no longer a limitation.

While I was looking around, getting familiar with all of the info and background about the Slight of Mouth strategy, a quote from Robert Dilts stood out to me:

Words make worlds.

That's so powerful... and so familiar when you come from a background focused on manifestation and speaking your world into existence.

It's so important to be mindful of what you say and how you say it. The words you say about yourself, your environment, and so many other things absolutely affect the world around you.

It's measurable and well-studied.

If you're blocked, think about how you talk about yourself, your abilities, your challenges and your skills. Look at how you refer to your resources, how you express your progress (or lack there of).

Are you succumbing to any negative or limiting beliefs that keep you from your goals? Are you talking a reality into existence that you want or that you don't want???

Is there anything you can easily shift in how you talk about yourself? Are you actually expressing the real truth? Are you using phrases like always and never?

There’s a huge crossover between manifestation practices and methods used in NLP. Very interesting!

I totally felt it yesterday, when a colleague of mine sent a message that felt like he was totally micromanaging me. I started typing a response several times, before I decided just to let it go.

Mercury Retrograde runs through September 14, so keep that in mind if your temperature starts to rise this month!

✨ Try to keep your cool when someone says something that doesn’t hit right. It’s Mercury Retrogradejiiiii talking (or listening)

✨ You might have issues with computers and electronics

✨ Travel might be delayed

Basically, Mercury Retrograde can try your patience and be just a tad bit frustrating.

But it’s a great time for reviewing your words (business people might revise their copy now), letting go of negative thought patterns, and making peace with your past.
